Surefire L1 Lumamax

Produced by Surefire

The Surefire L1 is a Digitally-Controlled LED flashlight. It uses a cree LED and digital current regulation circuitry to achieve a near constant level of brightness for the useable life of the batteries. The L1 also comes with a two-stage tailcap switch. Press lightly for low (10 lumens) and press hard for full power (65 lumens). Twist for constant on. The L1 can also be locked-out by unscrewing the tailcap several turns.

The L1 runs on 1 CR123 lithium batteries for an average of 90 minutes in regulation and has an average brightness output of 65 lumens. After ~65 minutes, brightness will drop off sharply, giving you decreasing brightness until the battery gives out. The L1 uses a Surefire designed TIR optic to focus the light into a tight beam while still providing useful side spill.
