SureFire 9P, 9PT, Z3, Z3T
Produced by Surefire
In the standard configuration the 9P can use the P90 (105 lu) LA
or P91 (200 lu).
The switch is momentary push on/off and can be
tightened down for continuous on.
This is the 9P with the 2.5" Turbohead bezel (SRTH) from the
12PM.
In this configuration it can use:
N2 lamp assembly (LA) 105 lumens
MN15 lamp
assembly 125 lumens
MN16 lamp assembly 225 lumens
The 9P with the 2.5" compact turbohead from the 12PM make
the smallest &
longest throwing light of it's size, due to
the reflector angle forcing a tight center hotspot.
The M6 is just a little longer and fatter than the 9PT.
This is the Z3 with the 2.5" Turbohead bezel (SRTH)
attached.
If you want to add pyrex lens & shock isolation to your 9P or
Z3, etc.
you can get an M2 bezel in black directly from SureFire.
The Z3 with black M2 bezel looks just like an M3.
This is the 9P with the black M2 bezel and the Z49 clickie
tailcap switch.
The Z49 works just like most other flashlights,
by pressing the button until it "clicks" on.
Pressing
it again turns it off. It's a nice change from conventional
Surefire "twist" on tailcaps.
You can turn your 9P into a 12PM with an A19 body extender.
This
allows you to add an extra battery and use the MN60, MN61 & N62
lamp assemblies.
This adapter also works on the 6P & turns it
into a 9P, just be sure to use the correct lamp assemblies.
The A19 adapter has a single o-ring and a thin band of knurling
on it.
Unfortunately, at this time the A19 only comes in black,
not hard anodized.
This is a comparison between the M3 w/MN10 (125 lumens) and the
9P w/P90 (105) lumens.
The M3 has a slightly larger center
hotspot, both beams have an oval shape.
The M3 (125 lu) on the left has a dispersed beam pattern while
the 9P with 2.5" Turbohead
(105 lu) has a very concentrated
hot-spot that carries much farther the the M3.
