Production was at 12.4 MMT - a 5% increased from the 1999 levels    which was the highest in 20 years.

Irrigated area accounted for 44% of total potentially irrigable area.

Production for all types (yellow & white) was 824,053 MT broken    down as follows: Isabela - 580,128 MT, Cagayan - 127,305, Quirino        - 74,745 & Nueva Vizcaya - 41,875.

Average yield per hectare was computed at 3.33 MT/ha.

Gainers in production output among the HVCCs were garlic           (46.6% growth), cotton (37.4%), and banana (7.4%)

Losers in production output were rubber (-12.49%), cassava                  (-6.32%), and mango (-5.9%). [more]

 

The sector contributed 17.5% to total agricultural production.

Value of production increased by 6.9% from the previous                 year, amounting to P100.6 billion at current prices. [more]
