Swarm Hunt of 1104
The Rules of the Competition are simple.
If you see a Rat of the Swarm, kill it on sight. Remove the beast's head, and bring it to the Jhereg Camp.
Rat Heads should be handed in to Lix, Queen of Goblins, or to Gribble, Royal Bard and Herald of the Goblin Court. Once you have handed in your rat head, your name, group and Faction alliegences will be noted in our records.
At the end of each gathering of the Factions, a count shall be made and a winner declared. A small prize ceremony shall be carried out at the start of the next gathering.
The Competition shall run until the third day of the Grand Renewal of Magic, at which point the totals for the year will be calculated, and a Grand Prize awarded to the person who has collected the most Rat Heads over the course of the year.
Prizes are yet to be determined by the Company of Merchant Adventurers.
A number of Bounties are on offer to open up this competition.
The Royal Court will pay a bounty of 2 silver coins for each of the first ten rat heads collected.
The first five rat ogre heads brought to Lix or Gribble will be rewarded with a gold piece.
For the High Priest Pubous of the Swarm:
His head alone will bring the price of 15 gold.
His body will be rewarded with 20 gold.
If he is alive when he is handed over, your reward shall be far greater (but as yet undecided!)
For the Rat Assasssin Snickt:
A bounty of 30 gold is being offered for this Rat's Head.
If you have any queries regarding this competition, a meeting will be held at the first Gathering of the Factions next year, where all the necessary information regarding the hunt will be given out.
