"I'm a weather witch, not a snow plow. I'm doing the best I can." Orora is one of the instructors at the Xavier institute, and was herself once a student of the Proffesor's. He found her in Africa, acting as the goddess of a village in the wilderness. With Storm's mutant abilities, it is easy to understand how the people could worship her as their diety. Storm is a weather witch, someone who can control and create the elemants. As such, she has a very close connection with nature and dearly loves her plants and the open air. With the power of a hurricane or a typhoon at her command, Storm must be very carefull to keep her emotions under control, or a freak blizzard could spring up out of no where. Thus Orora is normally very calm and serene, but beware those who threaten her friends and family. Orora functions as a mentor and mother figure to the students at the Xavier Institute, and thinks of them as her family. Her nephew, Evan, attended the Institute for a while, but eventually left to live with the Morlocks after his powers got out of control. Storm feels helpless since she can now do nothing for Evan, and must hand over his care to complete strangers. Though she realizes now that he may learn from the Morlocks, what she could not teach him. |
