Ash Wednesday

(In a little girls veiw)

As a little girl went out to play,
She smelt smoke from far away.
She thought it might have been a burning tyre,
Instead it was that horrible fire.

The little girl looked up to see,
ASH tumbling from a tree.
She ran inside,
So terrified.

She prayed the fire would go away,
So she could see another day.

Will it be that way?
Will she have that chance to play?
To go to school to get a job?
It was all too much she had to sob.

This little girls dreams were shattered,
Torn apart ratted and tattered.

To their luck,
The dad told them to get in the truck.
To get themselves far away,
He called it  their little holiday

Not soon after they left the house it went up in smoke,
Luckily they didnt die unlike most of the other folk.
