Work as a levelling down
Education (from family or school) in a Patriarchy make women FEEL responsible for domestic tasks. By doing so a lot of women who work also do the house work and take care of the children. So this can be interpretated as a levelling down of women conditions.
Equality of salary as a necessary pre-condition to get rid of Patriarchy
Women are paid the 2/3 of the wages men are paid. So that becomes logical for them within any (heterosexual) partnership to undertake for the care of the children.
It could explain why they have in majority a part-time jobs.But it's mainly because part time jobs are more easily proposed to a woman than a man;
it's also a social pressure. It's a means to keep the woman at her "place" that is to say the "feminine sphere"of traditional roles.
Equality of salaries is THE condition for equality of conditions with men.
It could question the present order in the family and totally change it.
Financial indepence is necessary for women liberation; it's a way to get rid of Patriarchy
About women consideration:
Besides traditional women jobs are poorly considered in the society, whereas men jobs are well considered namely in the scientific sector.
All that is "feminine" in this society is belittled ( see the discrimination upon gays).
The right to work for women is questioned during crisis times and encouraged during war efforts; it works just like when western countries need immigrants or not.
They are just useful in extreme needs in other words in this Patriarchy system.
