U.S.S. BISMARCK  NCC-1108B
SECURITY PERSONNEL & JOB DESCRIPTIONS

CHIEF OF SECURITY:
Lieutenant Commander Hayden James McManus.

The Chief Security Officer is called the Chief of Security (CoS). It is the CoS'  duty to ensure the safety of ship and crew. Some take it as their personal duty to protect the Commanding Officer or Executive Officer on away teams. They are also responsible for people under arrest and the safety of guests, liked or not.
They are  also a Department Head and a member of the Senior Staff, responsible for all the crew members in their department. Security could be called the 24th century police force.

The USS Bismarck's crew compliment allows for a Cheif Tactical Officer. On some vessels the Chief of Security is also head of the Tactical Department. If the Cheif Tactical Officer and subordinate Officers are killed or debilitated, all Tactical personnel fall under the operation of the Security Department, headed by the Cheif of Security.

DEPUTY CHIEF OF SECURITY:
Lieutenant Timothy R. MacDonald.

The Assistant Security Officer is called Deputy Cheif of Security (DCoS). The DCoS assists the Chief of Security  daily work such as in issues regarding Security and any administrative matters. As and if required the DCoS  must be able to take command of the Security department.

Where Tactical is also part of the Security Department, (Unlike the USS Bismarck) the DCoS assumes the majority of its control freeing the Chief of Security to maintain the Security Department.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Azhaar de Monde.

The Master-at-Arms (MaA) trains and supervises Security crewmen in departmental operations, repairs, and protocols; maintains duty assignments for all Security personnel; supervises weapons locker access, the ship's armoury and firearm deployment; and is qualified to temporarily act as Chief of Security if so ordered. The Master-at-Arms is a Non Commissioned Officer.

There are several Security Officers aboard The USS Bismark. They are assigned to their duties by the Chief of Security and the Deputy Cheif of Securirty and mostly guard sensitive areas, protect people, patrol, and handle other threats to the ship and crew. Security Officers could be likened to 20th/21st century Police Officers. A Security Officer reports to the Cheif of Security or the Master-at-Arms.

SECURITY OFFICER - BRIG OFFICER:
Position is currently availiable...

The Brig Officer is a Security Officer who has chosen to specialise in a specific role. The Brig Officer guards the brig and its cells. But there are other duties associated with this post as well. They are responsible for any prisoner transport, Brig equipment and the questioning of prisoners. Often Brig Officers have a good knowledge of forcefield technology, and are experts in escaping such confinements. The Brig Officer reports to the Cheif of Security.

SECURITY OFFICER - V.I.P. BODYGUARD:
Position is currently availiable...

V.I.P's. are sometimes difficult people to get along with. They want this and that, and want it as soon as they ask for it. Therefore, a Security Officer - V.I.P. Bodyguard has not only to guarantee the safety of the person s/he guards, but must also be efficiant in the diplomatic and organisational aspects of the position. More than once s/he has to be diplomatic about what s/he has heard while staying in the vicinity of there V.I.P. guests. As with Brig Officers, the Security Officer - V.I.P. Bodyguard is a specialist Security Officer, and when not serving the Security Officer - V.I.P. Bodyguard partakes in normal Security Departmental Duties. The Security Officer - V.I.P. Bodyguard reports to the Cheif of Security.
