Letter to My Wife on her 22nd Birthday
12-15/80
The cloud broke suddenly, scattering moonlight on the bed
and across your sleeping body it fell like pixie dust.
scattered by the willow's limbs,it formed a kalidoscope
of shadows and light over your curves. It seemed that I must
not awaken you,and distroy Nature's mural. You stirred, and turned
your long raven hair, still damp from our nocturnal playing,
covered one of your breast, and added highlights to the beam's
passionate caress.I sat, hearing my thoughts saying
That I am a Lucky man,and later on this day we pledge our troth
and as my bride side by side I'll carry you away.
But the Fates, acurssed things, had other plans that weren't forseen
By us,nor any mortal's eyes. They used a drunken fool as their tool
to break thee my Queen in two.And from my grasp my life distroyed
with your passing from this plane. But eternally I hope to still be me
when we next meet again.I miss you with every fiber,in every grain
of my being. You were Love in all it glory. And don't forget this Lori:
That when we meet again,it shall happen as we swore
before the Gods and all our friends
YOU AND I FOREVER MORE.

Yearning
Restless,I toss and turn in my lonely bed,
With only your vision dancing in my head,
But you are not here.
I lie and dream in fits and starts,
Wanting you to calm my heart,
But you are not here.
My eyes open with a jerk,
And curse the sleep that doesn't work,
Because you are gone.
Although it's cool,my hair is wet
Dampened by a feverish sweat,
Because you are gone.
I get up and change the bed,
Pass the mirror,my eyes are red,
For I know you won't be back.
I take a shower to relieve
Muscles that quake like leaves,
For I know you won't be back.
I lay back down and try again
To sleep.But as just as I do,then
You come back to me.
And as the tolling of a bell,
I'm released from my hell,
For you came back to me.

5 Minutes
As I sit now and ponder
What have I done with my life
I couldn't say,and do wonder
How I put up with the strife
That has happened in my presence
Or directly affected me
All that is,and all that isn't
Haunted for eternity.
Just 5 minutes either way
One: to be pelted with the rice;
The other: Just a few minutes earlier
Woulds't we get to paradise.
Had we held up,what would've happened?
Rice pelted,we'd get to your car
And speed off into the horizon
To soak up rays on a distant shore.
The other:We'd been same route traveling
But earlier sped my car
Through the traffic, and down the coast
And from there to St.Thomas once more.
Why we left then,dosen't matter:
The fact we did sealed our fate.
But how would our lives have been different-
5 minutes early? 5 minutes late?

The Sweetest Nightmare
She stands in the doorway,with 2 flutes in one hand;
Then the DAMNED CLOCK goes off, returning me to this mess!!!!!!
Then I wake up....

in the other,a magnum of Dom,awaiting my command.
Her long black hair unfettered,covering her full,heaving breasts;
I suddenly realize why I love I love her best.
Her sheer creamy negligee stopping at mid-thigh,
and a sugesting, playful twinkle a dancing in her blue eyes.
Her long legs propel her hither,as huskily she says:
"My Dearest~what you thirst for awaits you on the chaise!"
She stretches out langouriously, and begins to pour
as I stand and cross the room,my robe behind me hits the floor.
She reaches out and gently strokes my taunt, quivering flesh....
