Simple But Cool Effects
| In the WebTechU Tables class, we learned about using the table borders, border-colors, width specified in pixels, background colors, cellpadding, and -spacing to get effects not usually thought of in connection with prosaic data tables. (The image is the result of my playing with—learning about—PSP10's Symmetric Shape tool, using Gaussian Blur to smooth the rough edges, and experimenting with different opacity settings.) That the HTML color "royalblue" matched one of the blues in my image was a happy accident. Getting a compatible red and green took a little longer but the process itself was easy. Once used, these color-, border-, and width-adjustments give tables a whole new range of features. |
