Nollie To nollie, follow these steps and check out my vids. 1) Place Middle finger on nose and index a little bit farther back than in the middle of the board. Have both fingers hang a little off the heel side of the board (more control) but don't curl them around the board (that's cheatin :)) 2) Roll the board forward real quick to gain more momentum for the pop and to make the nollie easier. 3) Pop the nose real hard (kinda roll your wrist too, it gives you more pop) 4) Lift your hand up and forward in order to get it off the ground (obviously :)), keep your wrist turned. 5) Turn your back over at the top of the nollie to level it out while still keeping your forward momentum going. 6) Try to land the board with the same to fingers to make it look cleaner and ride away Practice the nollie this way and I guarantee you'll get it eventually, just practice cause practice makes perfect. Also, yes this is the right way to do it; otherwise, how would i have done it? :) Practice hard, persist, and good luck!
Casper Slide To casper slide, follow these steps and check out my vids. 1) Place Middle finger on tail and index behind the front trucks 2) Pop the tail REAL hard like you would for an impossible 3) Let it flip like an impossible, but halfway around, stop it with your index finger 4) Land on the desired obstacle 5) Slide to the end, and when u get there, lift your index finger up and back and kinda turn your wrist too, it'll make it easier to get back around to the normal position 6) Reposition fingers to normal stance and ride off
Kickflip Check out my vids for any help you might need 1) Position fingers for whatever's comfortable for you (ollie position) 2) Do a normal ollie, but while sliding your hand up and forward, slide your front finger and the rest of your hand off the board which will make it flip 3) Watch the board come around, catch it, and land it Extra tips: 1) If the board is flippin too fast, don't slide your front finger and hand off as fast 2) The higher and faster you move your hand upward, the higher the kickflip 3) Try it rollback first (Roll the board backwards real quick, then snap the tail, then move hand forward) OR fakie, it's a little easier 4) If the board is flippin to the right (a little bit like a varial flip), slide you finger straight off the nose and not so much to the side.
Homemade Fingerboard 1) Find a plastic CD Jewel case or anything else that's thin plastic (plexiglass works great). 2) Draw the design on the case with a fine point marker so you know where to cut 3) Trace over the marker with a flame(lighter, candle, etc.), you need to heat the area so you can cut it out, otherwise, it will crack 4) Cut out the design. Now you need to heat the ends of the nose and tail, just enough until they're a between warm and hot. 5) Bend up the nose and tail but not too much, just enough to have a 30 degree angle bend or so 6) Run it under water to make it harden and not be so pliable (bendable) 7) Now you need some grip tape. Doesn't matter what kind, just find some at a skate shop or a hardware store like home depot 8) Cut out a rectangular shape of the grip (doesn't have to be perfect, just so it all fits on the board easily) 9) Stick the tape on and try to get most of the bubbles out (you'll be able to see them on the underside of the board) so it won't peel off too easily later. You also need to cut off the excess grip by goin around the board with a razor or Xacto knife (just like a skateboard) 10) Now you need to find a hotwheel car (or you can use trucks from a tech deck parts pack, but i'm cheap : )) preferably with a plastic bottom 11) Use a butter knife or flathead screwdriver to pry off the housing underneath where the wheels are, try to keep most of it (all of it if possible, rare) intact 12) Now you'll probably need a "riser" underneath so the board doesn't touch the wheels. I used a thin piece of wood (one of the things they use to give you paint samples on those pieces of wood like at home depot), but foamboard or the cover part (cardboard) of a 3-ring binder will work also. 13) Superglue the "riser" to the hotwheels housing, make sure the "riser" is thin enough to fit in between the wheels, and then superglue that stuff to the deck you made earlier in steps 1-9 14) It should be finished now. Be sure it's dry before usin it so you don't break it after you just finished it Additional Tips: 1) When heating any of the parts of the fingerboard, keep the flame about half an inch below it, it keeps part of the board from turning black and also heats up the area faster 2) If you can find it, go to a hardware store and get some glue called F-26, it works way too well : )
Heelflip Check out my vids for any help you might need 1) Position fingers for whatever's comfortable for you (ollie position) and then move your index finger to the edge of the fingerboard farthest away from u 2) Do a normal ollie, but once you're in the air, curl your index finger (and middle if u want) to make it start flippin. You have to curl kinda quick and move your hand out of the way to allow it to flip. 3) Watch the board come around, catch it, and land it Extra tips: 1) If the board is turning in the air shuv it style, curl both fingers 2) Try it rollback first (Roll the board backwards real quick, then snap the tail, then heeflip) OR fakie, it's a little easier
FS 180 Varial Heelflip Check out my vids for any help you might need 1) Position fingers for whatever's comfortable for you (ollie position) and then move your index finger to the edge of the fingerboard farthest away from u 2) Do a normal ollie, but once you're in the air, turn your hand 90 degrees, curl your index finger (and middle if u want) to make it start flippin, and keep your hand movin fs. You have to curl kinda quick and move your hand out of the way to allow it to flip. 3) Watch the board come around, catch it, turn your hand to land 180 and land it. Extra tips: 1) If the board isn't turning in the air shuv it style enough, turn your hand/arm a little faster. 2) Try it rollback first (Roll the board backwards real quick, then snap the tail, then heeflip) OR fakie, it's a little easier
