Each Step

Don't put off joy until the end of the journey.  Live it each day in every way.  Don't settle for just a fraction of fulfillment.  You can choose it all.  Each step you take, is not just a means to an end.  Each step is a value and a joy all its own.  When you assume that the task will be tedious, it will be.  A negative attitude makes it that much harder to get the job done.
Instead, find joy and fulfillment in every step you take.  And appreciate the life you have, and no matter what the task, you'll find a way to do it with joy.

When the road is long

When the road ahead is long, that is no reason to slow down.  When there is much work to be done there is no reason to be discouraged.  In fact, it is a reason to get going.  It is a reason to get started as soon as possible.  For when there is much to be done, there is an abundance of positive opportunities.  When the road is long, there are countless ways for you to make a difference.  The greatest achievements come in response to the greatest challenges.  The richest, most fulfilling journeys are the ones who make the effort, those who persist will be able to claim that value.  When the road is long, when the challenges are great, that is your chance to truly shine.  For when you give it all you have, you end up with the best you can be. Let's walk this road together as FRIENDS.
    
                                                
Encountering Resistance

It can  be annoying when bugs are hitting you in the face.  And yet, it means you're moving along very fast.  It can be frustrating when obstacles keep popping up to block your path.  And yet it is a sure sign that you're making progress.  It can take a great deal of effort to work through the challenges that arise each day.  And yet the more difficult those challenges become, the higher you are climbing.  The faster you go, the more resistance you're likely to encounter.  Fortunately, though, the faster you go, the more momentum you build.  As that momentum grows, you can more and more quickly turn the problems into opportunities.  Though the challenges grow intense as you move faster, your ability to handle them grows at an even faster place.  Choose to work through the obstacles, to seek out the challenges, and to not let the frustrations get you down. For as you move through them, you are moving toward success, achievement and fulfillment.

So you've been on Weight Watchers for a while now and your sick to DEATH of counting points, measuring out out portions, and you swear if you have to down one more glass of water your gonna barf.  These are normal feelings.  Why should you have to count and measure everything and watch what you eat ? When you start thinking this way ask yourself these questions:
Health- What's more annoying, counting points and excersizing or counting out the number of pills you have to take control of your diabetes/ high cholesterol problems?
Physical- What's more annoying, counting points and excersizing or not being able to walk with your husband and children anywhere or struggling to tie your shoes or walk up a flight of stairs?
Emotional- What's more annoying, counting points and excersizing or going yet ANOTHER Summer covering yourself up because you are too self conscious to have your arms out or wear a bathing suit?
What's more annoying, counting points and excersizing or beating yourself up for yet ANOTHER year that went by with you gaining weight when you want so desperately lose it? Today is a new day.  Start today, not tomorrow.


                                                   
Don't Quit

When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down, when you feel like the biggest failure in town.  When you want to give up just because you gave in, and forget about being healthy and thin. 
So what you ent over in points a bit, it's your next move that counts, so don't you quit!
It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change. It's learning the skills to get back in your range.  It's telling yourself you've done great up till now.  You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow.  It's part of the journey toward reaching your goal.  You're still going to make it, just stay in control.  To stumble and fall is not a disgrace, if you summon the will and get back in the race.  But often the strugglers, when losing their grip, just throw in the towel and continue to slip.  And learn too late when the damage is done, that the race wasn't over...they still could have won.  Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow, but facing each challenge will help you grow.  Success is failure turned inside out, the silver tint in a cloud of doubt.  When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit.  If you bit it, write it.  But don't you quit!



                                             Your Direction

It may take months, years or even decades to get where you want to go.  Yet you can begin moving toward that goal in an instant.  You are where you are right now, and nothing will change the path you've already traveled.  Yet you can most certainly and most completely change where you are going.  Choose to follow a positive direction, and whatever your current situation may be, it is instantly and signifigantly improved.  Once your focus is on creating a positive reality for your world, that reality begins to take shape.  Through the challenges ahead may be many, they are no match for the power of your intention.  To activate that power right now, point yourself in a positive direction.  The next step you take is yours to decide.  And whatever the next step may be, it is the step that will determine your direction.  At any time, no matter what the situation, your direction is yours to choose, and becomes real the instant you act on it.  Make your direction a positive, fulfilling one, right now, and always.
