Dec 26, 2003 at 3:47 PM CST - Somewhere in Iowa.

Iowa is one of the most boring states in the Union. Seen here is one of the more hilly areas which was also the most exciting part of the Hawkeye state. iowa

iowa2 Note the flags standing almost exactly perpendicular here, I got out of the car for all of 30 seconds before I decided it was too cold.

We continue driving through Nebraska, and the beautiful state of Colorado onwards to Utah. Snow storm in the Rockies slows us to a crawl at times. Occasionally the rumble strips stir me from my dozing but I'm not driving so it's all good.

Second snowstorm hits us in Utah mountains, we're through it in about 2 hours and back in clear air.

Dec 27, 2003 at 8:05 AM MST - Sun Rises over the Basin and Range area of Utah.

Sun rising over the Utah Cliffs. utah

We first stopped at Arches National Park before finishing the journey to Las Vegas.
