I followed Michigan's 1997 National Championship Football Team on their trip to the Rose Bowl with my dad and my best friend Mike and it was one of the greatest trips I've ever been on. To get an idea of what we did keep reading.
| Being right on the beach we certainly had to go swimming. This picture is taken near the pier at Manhattan Beach in sunny southern california. The water was surprisingly cold, but much better than the water in Lake Michigan which was hovering in the mid 30's at the time. | |
 | Since neither Mike nor I were 21 we had to take it easy for New Year's Eve. We ended up going to Disneyland and celebrating it there. It was actually a pretty good place to be. After the big celebration we left there and made it to bed about 3 AM and were back up at 7 for the Rose Bowl Parade. |

| This is the scene from outside the famous Rose Bowl with the San Gabriel Mountain to the North. We were at the stadium about three hours before kickoff and I was nervous as hell the whole damn day. |  |
 | We were both nervous as hell before the game, but somehow managed to stand still long enough for someone to take our picture. We're both wearing our lucky shirts that got the team so far. |

| As the game wound down this was the scene as the two teams huddled along the sidelines during a timeout. |  |
 | In the mayhem that followed the game, we ended up down on the field in the north end zone right up against the police keeping us in check. Looking back at the scoreboard said it all! |
| Our plane trip to Las Vegas was delayed for about an hour and a half because something was broken. Anyhow we got bored so we hung outside. |

| Since we were in Vegas we decided to spend our time out on the town trying to have some fun. So here I am enjoyin' the Vegas Nightlife! |

 | In Vegas we stayed at the famous Mirage Hotel. It has a fake Volcano out in front which erupts every 15 minutes during the evening. |
