| ~About Me~ |
| I live with my parents, I've had alot of good times & a few bad times. Like the time I had to be put on a ventilater & have a trach put in so I could stay among the living. I was in the hospital 100 miles away from home for 45 days, my mom was with me every minute, my dad came to visit every weekend. Without that kind of support it would not been possible recover as well as I did. We first discoverd my MDM when I was five years old, I could not run & keep up with the other kids my age. I would fall many times a day & it would be hard to get up because of weak muscles. I went in a manual wheelchair when I was 8yrs old I was kind of happy because I did not have to worry about falling down anymore. After a few years later I started using a power wheelchair so I could get around better. When I was in 8th grade I started having respiratory problems, pheumonia pretty often. Attending school with 800plus kids got to risky, so I was home tutored the rest of the way. I graduated with honors I had a standing ovation in a graduation class with about 350 other kids. Now I spend all of my time at home during the winter time. I get out & about as much as I can in spring, summer & fall. I always have to be careful when I go out because it's easy for me to catch a cold. My parents work during the week, so I have 2 nurse's that come to take care of me. One works 3days the other works 2days. I think it's good to have a little break from family when I'm home most of time. Oh! I almost forgot Daryl my older brother, he lives at home too he also helps out once in awhile. I have a little toy poodle for a pet he's a good friend, always has to be near me at all times. I'm glad you chose to stop by for a visit, I thank you for taking time to read my bio ... Daren Danielson |
