Revenge

     During the play there are many people who Hamlet would like to get revenge on. The most obviuos is the revenge he would like to get on Claudius, for the many things he has done.  But, he wants revenge on Ophelia, his mother, and many others.         He wants to get revenge on Ophelia for breaking his heart.  But, he doesn't want to kill or physically harm her.  He hurts Ophelia with his words and actions.  He puts down females, love, and marriage.  He hopes the words he says will get to her and make her think about what she has done to him.
       The revenge he wants on Claudiusis based on total hatred.  He does want physical revenge on Claudius.  He doesn't care if Claudius gets his feelings hurt.  He wants Claudius to die and be gone forever.  He believes his life will be better once Claudius is gone.  He plans to use a play to figure out whether Claudius is guilty or not.  He wants to know the truth before he does something drastic.
       There are many different types of revenge.  And, there are many different ways to get it.  Hamlet deals with many different feelings.  These feelings lead to the many different types of revenge he wans to get on people.  You see so many different types of revenge in the life of only one character in this play, Hamlet.
