Love

Love, as a whole, is a reoccuring theme in Act II. First, I found love between Polonius and Ophelia. Ophelia loves her father very much and that is why she came running to him when Hamlet acted nuts toward her in her sewing closet. She figured he could  help her and comfort her, but instead he just shoved her  aside and went to tell Claudius of the event. It seems Polonius does not like his daughter very much, he loves her unconditionally, but he doesn't like her. He thinks that she is a whore and caused Hamlet to become mad by jerking him around.
The next love attraction is Hamlet and Ophelia. Of  course Hamlet  loves Ophelia in this act, he feels  that she is the only person left ot trust. Little does he know that in the next scene she will betray him. But for now, he comes to her for help. Hinting with his ody language that he cares for her deeply and loves her. She is his friend and lover rolled into one stupid, idiotic loser. She is the epitome of betrayl. The love seemed to  last a very long period of time, but in an instant Ophelia throws it all away.
Another love scene was that of Polonius and Laertes. Here we see the father, son love at its best. Polonius loves his son very much and is worried about him all alone in France. So he feels that he has to protect him by sending his servent Reynaldo to create a kind of shield for him to hide behind. Daddy comes to the rescue again.
A love attraction which is also present, is that between Gertrude and Hamlet. Gertrude loves Hamlet unconditionally as always. They have a bond that is completely is different than anyone in this play. Hamlet and his mother have always been together and have been through a lot together.
The whole point of this is that
love is dangerous, it screws you up in the head. Never lead anone on or it may come back to you n the end. People's emotions are very powerful do not mess with them.
