         Deliverance Session Power Prayers

     The following prayers have proven helpful in defeating the enemy. They are a sample guide only and are by no means complete. As you grow in the Lord and receive direction and revelation from the Holy Spirit, add to these guideline prayers or write your own prayers on the prayerful leading of the Holy Spirit. Remember that it is important for you to take authority over Satan daily in the name of Jesus.

Breaking Satan's Yoke:

     Heavenly Father, I bow in worship and praise before You, I cover myself with the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ as my protection. I surrender myself completely and unreservedly in every area of my life to You. I take a stand against Satan and all his workings that would hinder me in my prayer life. I address myself only to the true and living God and refuse any involvement of Satan in my prayer. I command you Satan, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to leave my presence with all your demons. I bring the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ between us. I resist all the endeavors of Satan and his wicked spirits to rob me of the will of God. I choose to be transformed by the renewing of my mind. I pull down the stronghold of Satan (ref. II Corinthians 6:14 through 7:1).

Confession of Sin:

     Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that You are the Son of God, and that You are the Messiah come in the flesh to destroy the works of the Devil. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again the third day from the dead. I now confess and repent of all my sins (e.g. pride, lust, the occult, religion, immorality, unforgiveness, negative emotions & behavior, drunkenness, drugs, etc.). I ask You to forgive me and cleanse me now from all sin (ref. I John 1:9). Thank You for redeeming, cleansing, justifying, and sanctifying me by Your shed Blood.

Deliverance:

     I come to you Jesus as my deliverer. You know all the things that bind, torment, defile, and harass me. My deliverance needs that I know of include (name them) ____________. I now loose myself from every evil influence, Satanic bondage, dark spirit, and any other spirit in me that is not a Spirit of God, and I command all such spirits to leave me now in the name of Jesus Christ. I now confess that my body is a temple for the Holy Spirit and that Satan has no power, or authority over me since I have been redeemed, cleansed, and sanctified by the Blood of Jesus.

Doubt and Unbelief:

     Father, I renounce 'doubt' and 'unbelief' as a sin, and ask you to forgive me for any of this (ref. Romans 11:20-24).

Forgiveness:

     Lord I confess that I have not forgiven certain people that I feel have wronged me. Instead I have carried anger, bitterness, resentment, grudges, jealousy, hatred, and the desire for revenge within my heart. I understand that the scriptures say my prayers cannot be answered and I myself cannot be forgiven until I forgive others (ref. Matthew 6:14-15, 18:21-35 and Mark 11:25, and I John 2:9-11). I now call upon you Lord to help me start to forgive them (both living and dead). I also ask that you bless them with the knowledge of your saving grace. I now desire and will in my heart to forgive both them and myself (and also accept myself). I now agree to begin to work toward full forgiveness as you reveal anyone who I have not forgiven. I accept the scriptures that say "Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord, I will repay!" (Romans 12:19 and Deut. 32:35).

Note - It may take from months to years to completely forgive:

     (1) All hurtful event to which you were ever subjected, and
     (2) People who have hurt you such as:
           � Men or women                             � (ex) Co-workers
           � (ex) Neighbors                              � (ex) Employers or employees
           � Brothers or sisters                         � (ex) Husbands or wives
           � (ex) Teachers                               � (ex) Friends or lovers
           � Children or parents                       � (ex) Pastors or Churches
           � The government                           � Thieves and politicians
     (3) Traumatic events such as:
           � Divorce(s) or breakup(s)               � Childhood hurts
           � Lost jobs

Loosing from Curses, Spells, etc.:

     In the name of Jesus Christ, I now rebuke and loose myself (and my family) from all evil curses, charms, vexes, psychic powers, bewitchments, voodoo icings, witchcraft, and sorcery that have been put upon me or my family line from any persons, or from any occult or psychic sources. I also cancel all connected and related spirits and command them to leave me now. I thank you Lord Jesus for setting me free. I ask You Lord Jesus that You bless them with the knowledge of Your saving grace.

Note - Christians are constantly being cursed by spells, curses, etc. They come in the form of voodoo beamed by witchcraft curses, by practicing witches and wizards, by the cursing of 'the heretics' (by some past and present Roman Catholics), and erroneous prayers of well-meaning friends, family or groups, etc. Curses bring sickness, dizziness, weakness, and oppression of all kinds.
