| 49. Sexual impurity: Lust, rape, fantasy lust, masturbation, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, fornication, incest, harlotry, exposure, and frigidity. 50. Spiritism: Sance, spirit guide, necromancy, etc. 51. Strife: Contention, bickering, arguments, quarrelling, fighting. 52. Withdrawal: Pouting, daydreaming, fantasy, pretension, and unreality. 53. Worry: Anxiety, fear, dread, and apprehension. VI. Staying Free After Deliverance: Fill the house (i.e., your body, spirit, and soul) and make proper adjustments in your life to keep demons out so you will remain free. The following steps will help you to maintain your deliverance and keep your defense barricades intact: a. Put on the whole armor of God (ref. Eph. 6:10-18). Watch your thought life! Most demons seek to re-enter by assailing the thoughts. Separate their thoughts from your own. Refuse the thoughts they give you and replace them with positive spiritual thoughts (Ref. Phil. 4:8). b. Confess positively. Negative confessions characterize demonic influence. Positive confessions are faith expressed. Confess what God's Word says. Any other confession will open the door to the enemy (Ref. Mark 11:23). c. Crucify the flesh. Take up your cross daily and follow Jesus (Ref. Luke 9:23). Break old habit patterns that are in league with evil spirits. This process involves discipline. If fleshy appetites, desires, and lusts are not brought to the cross, a way for demons to return will be left open (Ref. Gal. 5:19-21, 24). d. Stay in the Word. Jesus withstood Satan's temptations by using scripture. This will work or you if you apply it. Take a look at James 1:22-25, Psalms 1:1-2, Psalms 119:105, Heb. 4:12, and Matt. 4:4. e. Develop a life of continuous praise and prayer. Praise silences the enemy. Praise is not a feeling but an expression unto God of thankfulness, adoration, and joy by speaking, singing, shouting, clapping the hands, etc. Pray with the Spirit in tongues and with understanding (Ref. I Cor. 14:14-15). Pray without ceasing (Ref. I Thes. 5:17). f. Maintain a life of fellowship with believers. The sheep that wanders from the flock is the most endangered. Find and fulfill your function within the body of Christ. Desire spiritual gifts and yield to the operation of the Holy Spirit through you and within the body of Christ (Ref. I Cor. 12:7-14). g. Commit yourself totally to Christ. Determine that every thought, word, and action will reflect the very nature of Christ. Abide in Christ so that the Holy Spirit might come forth in abundance. Demon spirits are enemies of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Faith and trust in God are the greatest weapons against the Devil's lies (Ref. Eph. 6:16). Doing these seven things will insure a filled 'house' (life) after having been cleansed of evil elements. No demon will be able to return, much less bring others with them. If a spirit should manage to trick you and regain an entrance, see to his departure (i.e., cast the beggar out) as soon as possible. If others areas of demon activity are subsequently brought to light, seek deliverance. Walk in daily deliverance by walking in the Spirit. Do not settle for anything less! ********************************************************************* It is my humble prayer that the Lord bless the simple contents of this tract to the result that "ye break every yoke." I am assured that after you receive ample deliverance yourself, God will kindle a fire in your soul to help others through this vital, New Testament, ministry to "loose the bands of wickedness, undo the heavy burdens, and let the oppressed go free." Let him use you as a vessel for cleansing, strengthening, and edifying His Body in love. Let God have His way, won't you?
