6.  Financial Problems and Mechanical Failures:

      a. Business reversals, job losses, etc. bring about despair in the life of the new believer.
      b. Money seems to dry up or slip through your fingers.
      c. Cars, tools, machines, etc. break down so as to bring about a condition of abject
         frustration
(ref. 1 Thessalonians 2:18 and Psalms 50:10).

7.  Wounds and Bruises Received from Christians:

      a. Rejection
      b. Judgmentalism
      c. Gossip and tale bearing
      d. Exclusion or cliquishness
(ref. Zechariah. 13:6, Matthew 18:7, and Ephesians 4:32)

Note:  New Christians are usually already suffering from self-consciousness, sensitivity, and insecurity in their new position in the body.  This usually leaves them open to hurts from insensitive brothers and sisters.  So be careful with one another since we are fragile at first.

8.  Christian Cultists Influence by:

      a. Jehovah Witnesses
      b. Mormons
      c. Unity Church
      d. Religious legalism (rules and regulations - no love)
      e. False Christian adherents:
            Jesus Only
            Prosperity Doctrine (motivated by greed)
Food fetishes, no meat, no marriage, etc.
(ref. 1 Timothy 4:1-16, 1 Timothy 6:3-15; and
              2 John 9-10)

9.  Depression, Anger, Resentment, etc.:

      a. Direct demonic attack.
      b. Manifestation of evil spirits not expelled at the time of salvation.  These usually react
violently to the presence of the Holy Spirit and must be cast out
(ref. Ephesians 6:10-18
          and 1 Peter 5:8).

10. Attacks Upon the Credibility of Leaders and Competency of Elders:

       a. Attempts to cheapen the regard or esteem for God-ordained leaders and teachers in a ploy
to cut off the young Christian from his/her spiritual food supply.
       b. Accusations such as "Elder so and so doesn't have time for us, not enough love, preaches
false doctrine, is too controlling etc." or "I heard one of the elders burp at the last
potluck" (an obvious evidence of satanic inspiration).
