Excerpts from Battling the Hosts of Hell - Diary of An Exorcist by Win Worley 1. Foreword*: Occasionally in life we face experiences and obstacles that are beyond our human ability to understand or overcome. For those who believe that Lucifer the devil is real and must be dealt with in accordance with Biblically-based principles, this material may be for you. This document provides recovery principles considered effective in dealing with the devil. The material within sections 3 through 15 has been extracted from the book "Battling the Hosts of Hell, Diary of an Exorcist" by Win Worley, and published by Hegewisch Baptist Church. 2. Biblical History of Deliverance*: Christ did not like the religious leaders of his era; he referred to them as belonging to their father, the devil (John 8:44). These Jewish leaders (who were not called of god) had taken control of the religious organizations, were representing the devil, and despised Christs practice of deliverance with the Children of Israel. Christ referred to deliverance as the children (of Israels) bread (Matthew 15:24 and Mark 7:27) and indicated that he was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel. They called Jesus demon-possessed and prince of the demons (Mark 3:22 & 30, John 7:20, John 8:48 & 52 and John 10:20) for casting demons out of the Children of Israel. Todays religious leaders generally seem to have the same distaste for the deliverance ministry as the religious leaders of Christ's era. Therefore, seeking deliverance in mainline religious organizations may not prove fruitful. The most commonly stated doctrine of demons (1 Timothy 4:1) response is that a Christian cannot possibly be afflicted by a demon. Accordingly, religious leaders typically espouse the spiritually-correct doctrine (of demons) that the victim must have a medical or psychological problem requiring mind-altering drugs (which in-turn allow in more demons) rather than utilizing the appropriated power of Jesus given to his true followers. Those who seek God can be led toward needed deliverance and those experienced in performing it. When we draw closer to God, God will draw closer to us (James 4:8). 3. Demonic Effect on a Victim: Demons can have an adverse affect: Physically Mentally Emotionally Psychologically On the victim's: Affections Intellect Organs Appetite Mind Sensibilities *Note: Information within the first two sections was not obtained from the referenced book.
