| Once Again, John Kerry Just Doesn't Get It By D L Ennis Once Again, John Kerry Just Doesn't Get It. Like his views on Iraq, the war against terrorism, health care, and on and on and on. He either really has no clue or he is desperate or bothI say both. Washington Post Staff Writers, Michael Laris and Mike Allen, report that; "Vice President Cheney said Thursday that he is "an angry father" after his daughter Mary was singled out as a lesbian by John F. Kerry in the final presidential debate." It was reported that, "Cheney used his remarks to chanting fans at a post-debate rally at Florida Gulf Coast University to kick off the final push toward Nov. 2 with a fierce attack on the Democratic presidential nominee, saying that what the debate "so clearly revealed is that John Kerry is not a man of strong character." Laris and Allen, report that that Cheney said, "You saw a man who will say and do anything in order to get elected," Cheney said, drawing boos. "And I am not speaking just as a father here, though I am a pretty angry father. But I'm also speaking as a citizen." While Cheney' comment is accurate, it is obviously, if you have ever paid attention to modern political campaigning, not a unique strategy. Almost any politician will say anything to get elected, in fact, the only politician that I know of that seems trustworthy would be John McCain, a Republican from Arizona. Laris and Allen report that, McCain said, "Maybe Sen. Kerry didn't appreciate the sensitivity" of the subject, McCain, R-Ariz., told reporters on Air Force One. "Whether intended or not, it was very inappropriate." Bingo, there you go! Using an opponents' child in any way is, and has, always been a no-no. Most of Kerry' supporters--They Follow Blindly--said something similar to what Human Rights Campaign President, Cheryl Jacques said, "President Bush missed one more chance to denounce discrimination last night so it is bewildering that Lynne Cheney instead attacked Senator Kerry." Now, you would think that the, President of the Human Rights Campaign, would respect the rights of the Cheney' and their daughter; it's one thing for a parent to speak of one of their own children in a public forum, and quite another thing for someone else to involve another persons child in a political forum. I agree with John McCain' assessment-as reported by Laris and Allen-of the foul advance made by Kerry-"Maybe Sen. Kerry didn't appreciate the sensitivity" of the subject...Whether intended or not, it was very inappropriate." John Kerry just doesnt think on his feet; there is a time to fight dirty and a time to play fair, Kerry just doesn't get it. Imagine if Kerry had been president during the 9/11 disaster, he would have had a nervous breakdown. Look closely at him, he is a weak frightened man, not fit to be president of the United States of America; there is just too much going on in the world today: he can't handle it! America has got to remain strong and aggressive, or be backed into a corner; the time has come to stop waiting for terrorist to bring it to us again; REMEMBER 9/11. Vote for a safer future. For your children's sake, you'd better vote for President Bush.
