My name is Allison Tyler, and I'm a sophomore at Chatham College,
in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
It's a great school, I like it. It's small, a girl's school,
one of the few left in the East. It's a beautiful school, set in
the city, and only about a mile away from the University of Pittsburgh
and Carnegie Mellon University.
Chatham is part of the Atlantic Women's College Conference in the
NCAA, tier III. I play on the tennis team, and hope to swim next year
as well, when Chatham gets a swim team as well.
one in the picture is Limbo, my most current one. He is a black
siamese-tabby mix (you can only see the tabby in him when he has direct
light on him). He has a little bit of white fur on the very tip of his tail.
That's how we told him apart from his brother Kosh. Kosh disappeared a year
and a half ago, but they looked a lot a like.
I miss having Limbo. I wish I could have pets here, all we are able to have
are fishies. And who wants fishies in a dorm room?
1.5 years in Maryland. I prefere the East Coast, for climate and such, but Colorado
is ok. For those of you who know me... the fact that I ACTUALLY admitted that is a big thing :)
I like Denver the best, of any place in Colorado. It has the best book store(Tattered
Cover!), and there are Chili's everywhere!
But I like Pittsburgh, too. I love it here. It's humid, and there are
bridges!!!!!! I love bridges :) I like Downtown as well, in Pitt. Has a really nice
Barnes and Noble :) I spend a lot of time in Squirrel Hill (one of the
boroughs in Pitt, Chatham is along the border of it). I go there about once
a week, it's a nice walk through a residential neighborhood. Shadyside
is on the other side of Fifth Ave, and I go there sometimes. That's where the really nice "upscale" shops are.
Oh yeah... I like to read. Very much. It's my favorite thing in the world.
My favorite author is Tamora Pierce, who's written the Immortals series, Song of
the Lioness, and a couple others. The books are for 10-15 year olds, but I
love them anyway :) I've been reading them since I was 12. Her web page is

I also like Science Fiction; tv, movies, books, you name it, i've probably seen
it or read it. Babylon 5 has got to be my favorite show of all time(even with the
sucky fifth season). Of the shows that are on now... Stargate SG-1 and Farscape
are probably my favorites. I even *cough cough* write fan fiction,
for SG-1 at least.
I go to Sci Fi conventions too, those are always fun. I have tons of autographs :)
That's my passion, collecting autographs. My most prized possesion is my Ron
Perlman autograph from when he was on Beauty and the Beast.
