CpCalc A center of pressure calculator for Windows. This program is my first attempt at creating a fully working program for the Windows operating system. I have previously only worked with Amiga, UNIX, VAX and the PC console platforms. Recently, I have begun learning Windows programming and it is coming very quickly. Once you learn the basic concepts, everything else falls into place. Now to let you know about CpCalc. This program is very basic in nature. All values to input are shown in the picture on the data entry window. The Cp of the nose and Zt values are described in 'help'. Barrowman's method is used to calculate the Cp, and it is given in units from the nose cone. The units used are centimeters, but I believe the units are truly arbitrary. One note though. There is a discrepancy between my calculations and the ones that VCP gives. I am using the Barrowman equations as given in "Topics in Advanced Model rocketry" by Mandell, et all just as VCP says it uses. I am currently in the process of researching to find the original Barrowman paper to verify my equations. Please give me any feedback that you have. I am curious as to what you think of this endeavor. Thanks, -David Ghere st5bx@jetson.uh.eud www.geocities.com/d_ghere
