| About the DM: Names Dylan. Well, it's not going to be my first time DM'ing, but it will be my first time at game exchange. I'm very excited, nervous, and hopefully prepared. I've been working very hard on this campaign, like I've lost weight. ^_^ And hopefully I'm doing a good job. It's not done yet, but I'll continue my work with a burning passion until August when I return from Mississippi and get started up at game Exchange. I've been descibed as a good DM, and in turn have been criticized for my fualts, which I am pinpointing and doing my best to work out. Well, I'll do my best, wish me luck and I wish you mine. See ya in August! ^_^ My Current Players: - Elizabeth - Ethan - Jarrod Waiting List: - Lee - Nick Contact Info: E-Mail: [email protected] Cell: 214-601-0342 (e-mail preferred) |

Intro: The citizens of Nevvalair are in a state of panic. Reported monster sightings in the North near Mt Versvesh have started about a month ago and are increasing in number. So far the government has done little to prevent them other than sending some spare troops to the area. One of the generals has decided to recruit 3 of the cities finest adventurers to investigate the mountain and figure out whats going on. The Sightings: Mostly slow moving humanoid figures, only coming out at night. There have been no residential casualties yet, a few have gone missing and returned with horrific stories of a strange civilization with many of its people in chains and labor. Quick Overview: Your characters are residents of the metropolis city of Nevvalair. Sent out on a few missions by the government, your reputations are known by some but few outside the office. Most past missions the three of you were sent to settle disputes or take care of minor creature intrusions inside the city, and have not ventured far from Nevvalair nor off the mainland of Vivex Rasvim. (the island and surrounding islands the campaign is set on) |

The City and Vivex Rasvim: Nevvalair is a very beautiful city crafted mostly of stone from nearby Mt Versesh with dwarven quality and painted in brilliant shades of sky blues and golds. To the north is Mt Versvesh, the south the Martivir Sea, the east the Plains of Varel Thurken, and the west Darastix Caesin. (Or Darastix Forest) The population is mostly human and a large portion is dwarven. (Many dwarves resided in the mountain before the cities founding. The city carved into the mountain for resources, the forest at the time was infested with hostiles and the plains useless. The dwarves living there in tribes at first rebelled, leading to a small war, but most immigrated to Nevvalair seeing the benefits of city life and tempted to use their crafting skill on the most common resource in the city, the same stone the dwarves grew up on. Also common in the city are kobolds. The founders of the city came by sea from the south from the Haurachs Kingdom. The kingdom is a society of dragon worshipers, particularly the Bahumt deity. |

Notes for character creation: Characters are level 12. The city is known for its lack of magic and religion. There are no divine casters or churches, and theres maybe one or two arcane casters residing in the city. You can still play these classes, but it is highly recommended otherwise due to lack of spell components and religious items. Also you will not be able to gain levels in caster classes without leaving the city because there are no places for training. There are many races outlawed by the city, mostly monstrous creatures or chaotic creatures (anything with habits of disturbing the peace) among the more common races banned are Orc, Half-Orc, Drow, Undead, Yuan-Ti, and most non-humanoid or monstrous humanoid races except centaur. If you have a question as to weather or not your race is allowed, or anything else about the campaign or character creation, send me an e-mail. I encourage the use of customized, or started-from-scratch, races and classes. Although these do require my approval, of course. If you do create a class, I want to see a full 20 level chart in the standard format of the core rulebooks. Please only try this if you know what youre doing. As a guide for base attack, saving throws, etc, check page 22 of the Players Handbook. Be creative, and come up with at least something of a background and personality for your character. And most importantly, make a character you can have fun with, the campaign will be much more role-play than combat. Also, please no evil characters, nuetral ok, good preferred. Your characters have a small reputation of being heroic adventurers, so evil just wouldnt fit. C'mon, it's my first time DM'ing for real, give me a break. ^_^ |
