WOMEN’S WORK

In the following chapters I would like to give a small word on so-called women’s work.  There is no such thing as women’s work.  I have heard such stupid idiotic suggestions as washing dishes, cleaning, hanging out laundry, cooking and even wallpapering etc, as being women’s work.  Women’s work is a lie from the devil with the cause of bringing tension and friction in a marriage.  The result is that the man often feels pressure not to do so-called women’s work because of male pride.

We listen to social stereotypes, which are inspired by negative tradition and Satan, to cause confusion.  God made woman to be man’s help-mate; the key word here is help-mate.  Help-mate means to help in what he is doing, be it washing dishes, or even building a house; whatever it may be!

Although it must be said that a man is to respect that women (generally-speaking) are physically weaker, and to ask a weaker person - be they male or female - to do something they were not capable of would be wrong.  The only women’s work I know of is bearing children or breast-feeding and that is only because God made it so.  There are rolls for both men and women, but it is not the trivial daily chores of who puts out the trash or who washes the dishes.  Help one another fairly!  God is watching.
