Hail to the king, baby. - Army of Darkness

You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world. - Fight Club

Remember, Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.- The Shawshank Redemption

Has anything you've done made your life better? - American History X

Life is too short to be pissed all the time. - American History X

Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker! - Die Hard

Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son. - Animal House

If you recognize this quotes or movies, your my kind of movie watcher. Now there's a'lot more good quotes out there, but I weaned it down to these. Obviously since I took these quotes, these are some of my favorite movies. I've evolved in my movie-watching quite a bit thanks to a couple dudes I came into contact with last year with good movie recommendations that I should have seen and regret not seeing earlier. You know who you are and I'd like to say thanks. I found out that movies can actually move you and change your perception.

If you've never saw any movies by directors such as Martin Scorsese, Oliver Stone, or Stanley Kubrick I strongly suggest you check out some of their movies. They're some great directors that changed the way I look at movies. A few other good writer or directors would include David Fincher, Quentin Tarantino, and John Landis. Of course, there's many more good ones out there, and don't think that just because I don't list them, I don't like them, these were just a few that stand out in my mind.

To make a list of some of the best movies that I've seen would be hard, since there's so many great ones, but I'm going to try to put down here my top twenty favorite movies. They're arranged in no particular order.

The Shawshank Redemption Clint Eastwood's Spaghetti Westerns(Outlaw Josey Wales, Unforgiven) The Shining Taxi Driver
Fight Club Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story Seven Natural Born Killers
Matrix One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest American History X Scarface

Die Hard

Romero's Zombie Trilogy (Night/Dawn/Day of the Dead) Apocalypse Now Raging Bull
Pulp Fiction Jaws Donnie Brasco Platoon

I know, I know, I left out some good ones. No Army of Darkness? What about the Rocky movies? There's ton more out there, but like I said, I tried to pick the best of the best. Now if you haven't seen all of these, I suggest you go out and rent them. Especially make sure you've seen Fight Club, The Shawshank Redemption, and Scarface. Those are some extremely good movies in my opinion.

Now these movies aren't exactly 'family picks', some are quite contraversial and explicit in the ways they depict the lives of the people in the movies. I'd recommend that your at least 16 or preferably older for some of these, like American History X or Natural Born Killers. I think seeing them young could have some messed up effects on your devolopment. Of course, maturation comes earlier or later for some, so basically, be forewarned.

If you want to find out any kind of info about movies, I'd recommend going to The Internet Movie Database. It's a great site with all kinds of info on upcoming movies, old movies, and everything in between. If your trying to find out more stuff about a movie I recommend going to MetaCrawler and typing in the movie name in quotations ("fight club").

If your looking for reviews, you can go to Movies or MetaCritic. You can also read my reviews I wrote on a few new movies I've seen at Epinions. As I see more new movies, I'll be writing more on them. I highly recommend you joining Epinions and using it. It's a great web resource to find out what other people think about the products that you want to buy. You can also write reviews and make money. If you do want to join, e-mail me, and I can get you to join through a referall program. For right now, I have two reviews, Don't Say a Word, Zoolander, and Corky Romano. Now I'm not a pro reviewer, but reading about the movie before you watch it is a good thing to make sure your getting your money's worth.

You can view my desktop wallpaper collage by clicking here. It's a 800x600 image.

If you want to recommend a movie to me or talk about movies your more than welcome to, I'm always open to some movie-talk. E-mail me or if you have AOL, try DKZOMBIE, my screen name.
