Prom to be held May 16 at Bryan Park

The 1997 Smith Prom will be held at Bryan Park on Friday May 16 from 8 p.m. until midnight.
This year's theme is "One Moment in Time." The theme was chosen in a vote by Prom Committee. This year's colors are black, silver and purple.
Tickets fo the prom are $30 a couple. They may be purchased from April 28-May 9 before school and during lunch from from members of the Prom Committee. For more information, see Dora Durante, Yvonne Woodward or Suellen Murphy.
The music will be played by Paul Cardts Sound FX.
Members of the Prom Committee are: Christel Brice, Tramaine Brown, Alycia Bryant, Reasey Heng, Erin Hicks, Ebony Johnson, Byron Jones, Thanh Le, Johneve Lea, Ashley Martin, Cheri McCann, Stephen Medley, Anya Michael, Latisha Miles, Tomeika Mordan, Teresia Paul, Ricky Richardson, Salone Shaw, Jokena Smith, Drexel Thompson, Arvelys Torrellas and Roselyn Torrellas.
Pictures will be taken during the event. Refreshments will provided.
Smith, the committee's chairman, said that there are plans to have a Prom King and Queen.
"The prom will be an event that no junior or senior will want to miss, so don't let this opportunity slip away."
Tramaine Brown is a junor at Smith. She is a member of the girls' track team and is active in student affairs.
