The Seishi Trap

Round One: Litte White Lies

"Ah, at last!" Kira declared triumphantly, brandishing her broomstick grandly in the air. She looked down at the sorry figure of a brown-haired boy sprawled on the ground beside her. "C’mon, Shiro!" Kira hissed. She grab hold of the hood of his cloak and hauled him to his feet.

"Nooooo…" the boy moaned.

"You’re such a wuss! Get up!" she growled as he whimpered and tried to prostrate himself on the ground once more.

"Ohhh…my stomach!" he whined as be bit back the urge to gag. He glared up at the auburn-haired girl in front of him. "Who taught you how to fly anyway? You could have killed us both up there!" he cried out as he rolled on his back and clutched his stomach.

Kira smiled sweetly at him. "Really now niichan, you’re such a big baby." Whipping out a pocket watch from somewhere underneath her cloak, she dangled it in front of his face. "Look on the bright side! We got here two hours early!" She braced her broomstick against the ground and leaned on it.

"Ah…look at that… beautiful!" Kira exclaimed as she surveyed the valley below. A small mountain village lay nestled between the foot of two looming mountain ranges. Below the cliff they were on, a road snaked around the mountain, leading up to the village. Further off to the left, she could see the silhouette of Mt. Fuji, beautifully framed by the rays of the early morning sun. Her eyes took in the view before her, slowly roaming over the lush green countryside with it’s sprinkle of picturesque cottages here and there. But her eyes settled on one particular spot. Further on, on an elevated ground nearer the mountains lay Nichibotsu Ryokan.

Kira’s eyes grew round as saucers. "Ooh!" she jumped up and down excitedly, in chibi-mode, "Look! Look! Look! Shiro! We’re so lucky!" She caught him by the back of his neck and forced him to look.

"Is…is this…" whispered Shiro, his eyes nearly popping out of his head. He scrambled to his feet, his queasy stomach already forgotten. He looked at Kira in disbelief.

"This," he said, gesturing towards the luxurious inn, "is supposed to be our punishment?"

Kira scratched her head. "Anou…I guess so." Suddenly, her eyes narrowed in suspicion. "I wonder what Grandpa is up to this time?"

Shiro’s eyes also narrowed into slits as he looked around warily. "You think this is some sort of trick?" he whispered to her.

"I don’t know," she whispered back. "Lemme check." Kira closed her eyes in deep meditation.

"Well?" Shiro asked when she finally opened her eyes.

Kira gave him a wide-eyed look. "Nothing. I don’t feel anything."

"Nothing? Are you sure?" Shiro pressed. "Check again. Grandpa must be up to something. He always is! Remember the time when we were…"

"Shhh!" Kira said, placing a finger against his lips. "Hear that?"

They both looked down the road below them. Two buses appeared down the road, with ‘Nichibotsu Ryokan’ painted on the side. They watched as the two buses drove up to the gates of the inn.

"Hey c’mon! This is our chance!" Kira grabbed Shiro by the arm and she leaped unto her broom.

"Mattteeeeee!" squeaked Shiro as he clung tightly to her. "Kiraaaaaa!"

The pair zoomed up into the sky and made a sharp dive down the road. Kira zoomed down the road.

"Kira watch it! Someone might see us!" Shiro hissed. "You just can’t go…ack!" His eyes popped open when he saw them heading straight for a tree limb.

There was a snapping sound and Shiro found himself being thrown off the broom and flying straight towards a cluster of bushes.

BONK!

For a moment, Shiro thought he saw stars. He gingerly touched the goose-egg forming at the back of his head.

"Owww…my head!" Shiro looked around. They were outside the walls of the inn but Kira was nowhere in sight. Shiro stood up, brushing the leaves off his cloak.

"Kira…Kiraaaa…" he called out softly as he walked around, rubbing the bump on his head.

"Shiro!" Shiro turned to his left to find Kira sitting on the ground—holding her broom—which is now broken in half.

Kira looked down at him with big watery eyes. "I broke it!" she wailed and began to cry.

"Aw, dang! I told you to be careful," Shiro muttered as he hurried up to her. He whipped out a white handkerchief from within the fold of his cloak and handed it to her. "Shhh…don’t cry Kira," he said patting her awkwardly on the back. He hated it when she cried. He didn’t know what to do.

"C’mon Kira, we need to go in or we’re gonna miss the crowd. Don’t worry about that. We’ll just call Gramps and have him pick us up after we do our job alright."

"Alright," said Kira, sniffling.

He helped her up and threw the now useless broom beyond the bushes.

"Ok, let’s do it," said Shiro as he pulled a backpack(a backpack?) from behind his cloak. Kira did the same, and they both went behind the bushes to change. A minute later, they emerged, both wearing shirt and jeans.

Then, they slung their bags on their shoulders—having stuffed their cloaks in it—and ran for the gate.

"Haiyaku!" Shiro cried, grabbing Kira’s hand when he saw the passengers alighting from the bus.

They snuck inside the gates and positioned themselves by the bus. "What now?" Kira whispered, tugging at Shiro’s sleeves.

"I’m thinking, I’m thinking…" Shiro said as he scanned the place.

"There aren’t that many people here yet," Kira observed.

Shiro nodded, then turned to the group of people from the buses. "Let’s just go in with them," he said. Kira nodded, and they linked hands as they followed the group inside the main building.

They both stood in the middle of the lobby, gawking at the people around them.

"Wow," whispered Kira as she gestured to the group gathered in the lobby’s front desk. "They’re a pretty big group. And some even look like movies stars!" She pointed to a tall, well-dressed brown-haired young man talking to an equally dashing fellow with purple hair.

Shiro nodded in agreement as he too looked around with big eyes. Raised voices by the front desk attracted their attention.

"Guys, I need to know need to know who booked these reservations," said a girl with brown hair, who was talking to a woman in a pink kimono behind the counter.

As a response, six hands were raised.

The girl lifted an eyebrow. "Chichiri? Hotohori? Nuriko? You guys booked reservations?"

Then a blond-haired girl standing near Shiro also spoke up, "Soi? Suboshi? Tomo? You guys also booked reservations?"

Kira thought she saw a weird look come over the pink-kimonoed woman’s face. The hotel clerk beside her had a horrified expression on his face as he began to rifle through a thick guest book. Then spotting the entries he was looking for, he glanced at the woman beside him nervously then nodded slowly.

The young brunette turned back to the lady who appears to be the manager and in a sheepish voice said, "Apparently, we have made an honest mistake."

Then the weird look came over the woman’s face again and this time, it was not so fleeting.

"I think they’re in big trouble," Kira whispered to Shiro. Shiro nodded in response.

Then in a blink of an eye, the men in the group swarmed around the desk.

"Oh, shoot!" said Kira jumping up and down, trying to get a view of the action.

"Hey, don’t be too nosy!" said Shiro as he grabbed Kira by the arm and started to pull at it. "We have better things to do. Remember what we’re here for."

"Wait a minute…" said Kira as she tugged back her arm. "Look!"

Shiro looked back to see the crowd disperse to reveal the hotel manager looking somewhat dazed, but smiling.

"Oh, that’s fine. I understand Miss Yuuki," they heard her say graciously to the girl. "Go ahead and cancel those other reservations. No charge necessary."

"Ah, arigatou," said the girl then one by one, the members of the group went up to the desk to get the keys to their room.

The two looked at each other.

"Did you see that?" asked Kira

"Uhuh…" Shiro nodded. A wicked gleam flashed in Kira’s eyes. She leaned over and whispered in her brothers ear.

"Nani?" Shiro squeaked when she finished. She smiled sweetly at him. "Now wasn’t that a brilliant idea?"

Shiro shhok his head furiously. "No,no,no,no…"

Kira pouted. "You’re no fun! C’mon…." she wheedled, tugging at his sleeve. "We’re gonna miss our chance!"

Shiro crossed his arms and stamped his foot on the ground firmly. "No, and that’s final," he said sternly. As he did so, his stomach let out an obnoxiously loud growl.

Shiro turned bright red as people turned to look at him.

Kira looked at him, eyebrows arched. "You’re hungry again?"

"Hey, gimme a break! You were nagging me so much this morning that I didn’t have time to eat properly," Shiro protested as he wrapped his arms around his stomach in an attempt to stifle the sounds coming from it.

Kira gave him a sidelong glance. "Of you do what I tell you, we’ll have free food for the whole day."

Shiro frowned at her, opened his mouth to protest, then stopped and a thoughtful look came over his face.

"It’ll only be for today. After we do what we’re supposed to do, we’re out of here and no one will know," continued Kira, seeing her brother’s resolve about to crumble.

"Well…" began Shiro.

Kira squealed and hugged him tight. "I knew you’d say yes! Let’s go!" She grabbed his hand and hauled him towards the front desk.

"But I didn’t…!"

"Shh!" Kira hissed as they approached. They could see the pink-kimonoed woman watch the Yuki group disperse with an air of resignation.

Kira placed her hand on top of the counter to catch the woman’s attention, then stomped at Shiro’s foot who immediately plastered a smile across his face.

The woman looked at them questioningly. Kira stomped at Shiro’s foot again.

"Anou…you almost forgot us," Shiro said with a slight stutter.

Kira resisted the urge to frown.

The woman looked at them confused, and then curiously. Her eyes opened as she asked cleverly, "And who are you two? Are you traveling with your mom and dad?"

"Hai. My name is Shiro. And this is my sister Kira. We are here with the group," Shiro said more confidently this time and Kira let out a small sigh of relief.

He pointed to the crowd that was just beginning to leave the reception area. From what he recalled of the information he overheard as the Yuki group checked in, he said calmly, "Yuki-chan is our cousin. We are suppose to get a room for ourselves."

The woman gave them a long side-long glance as she turned her head towards the group she had talked to earlier.

Shiro gave Kira a brief nervous look which said, She’s not buying it. Kira just gave him small glare which meant, Just stick to the plan.

They watched, fingers crossed behind their back as the woman looked towards the brown-haired girl’s general direction, taking in the color of her hair. At least, Kira thought, we have the same hair color.

"Yuuki-san. Yuuki-san!" the woman called out and Shiro and Kira both paled.

Uhoh….

The woman clucked her tongue in frustration as her voice was drowned out by the group’s clamoring
. One of the of the guests with red hair was joking around with another fellow with blue hair as they passed the gift shop. He stepped back and bumped into a shelf of souvenir ornaments made of glass. There was a loud crash of broken glass as the ornaments came crashing down.

"OH NO!" cried the woman, the color draining from her cheeks. She started to walk away from the counter when Shiro reached over and grabbed her by her kimono sleeve. He tugged at it before she could take another step.

The woman felt herself jerk backward and sideways. She held onto the counter to aid her balance. The parentless girl and boy stood there staring at her with innocent eyes. The crunching sound of glass being stepped on by her guests was paining her ears.

She let out an exasperated sigh, "Okay, I will speak to your cousin later. We have a policy about children at this establishment. You should always be in the company of an adult. Do you understand?" She leaned closer with her finger waving at them.

"Hai!" Kira and Shiro cheerfully chorused along with wide angelic grins which startled the woman.

"W…Well, okay," the woman said haltingly as if suddenly unsure of her decision. "Make sure you both stay out of trouble. I will talk to your cousin soon enough." More shattering glass redirected her attention. "Aiyah...," she let out a tense breath.

She signaled to the other attendant at the desk. "Help these children with a room near Ms. Yuki. Charge the room to her group." As the woman said the last sentence, Kira could almost see the dollar sign flashing in her eyes.

"Yes," the woman repeated to herself, "charge it to her group…"

Shiro and Kira exchanged baffled looks as the woman glanced at the group and started to giggle. The attendant turned to her with the strangest look of concern, "Kureko-san, are you alright?"

The woman’s laughter turned into a cough. She brought her arm up to her face and whipped out a silk scarf that she held up to hide her flushed features. She responded quickly, "Oh yes, I am fine. Just a little something in my throat." She coughed again.

Then words spoken from the gift shop could clearly be heard from the sales clerk who asked, "Who will pay for this," and the red-haired boy said, "Tamahome."

The blue haired man called Tamahome objected violently, "No, I will not, Tasuki. I am not paying for your mess again like last time."

The red haired boy asked, "Well why not? You spend your money on Miaka-chan." The red haired boy cuddled on Tamahome's shoulder and batted his eyes up at him. He cooed, his voice like a girl's, "Won't you pay it for meeeee." There was a crash as the red haired boy went flying through the gift shop to the opposite wall where he was stuck to the viewing mirror. The pink-kimonoed woman ran off in a panic, leaving Shiro, Kira and the attendant staring after her.

"Whew, that was close!" Kira whispered to Shiro.

"Yeah," he agreed, wiping cold sweat from his brow.

The attendant cleared her throat and they both looked up, innocent smiles pasted on their faces.

"Here you go," the attendant said pleasantly as she handed them a key. "You’re room will be beside Ms. Yuuki’s. She’s you’re cousin, ne?"

"Hai! Arigatou!" they both chorused. Shiro took the key and they quickly scampered off before the attendant could ask them any more questions.

"Baka! Don’t go there!" Shiro said, as Kira started to head straight towards where the Yuki group was. They surrounded the pink-kimonoed woman who was in staring mournfully at the pieces of shattered glass that littered the floor, apologizing profusely. Shiro thought of how much sweet talk it would take for the manager to let them off the hook this time.

He grabbed Kira by one of her pigtails and steered her out the door.

"Ow, Shiro that hurts!" Kira cried out as she followed him out. "Why are we out here again? I wanna see our room!" she cried, pouting.

"We can’t right now, do you want to get caught?"

Kira looked thoughtful for a moment, her pout disappearing. "Yeah, you’re right."

Shiro’s stomach growled again and Kira brightened. "I know! Let’s go to the banquet hall!"

"Good idea!" said Shiro.

Two hours and four servings later…..

"Unghhhh…I think I’m gonna throw up!" Shiro moaned as he clutched his stomach.

"Don’t do it here, c’mon!" Kira slung his arm over her shoulders and helped him up.

As they stepped out of the banquet hall and into a smooth-pebbled path, Shiro let go of Kira, dropped to his knees, and promptly emptied his stomach behind some bushes.

"Eeewww…gross!" said Kira unsympathetically.

"Is he alright?" came a voice from behind her.

She whirled around to see a blond boy of about fifteen looking worriedly at Shiro.

"Oh yes, he’s fine!" Kira said hurriedly, suddenly aware that they’re attracting attention—which was the last thing they needed.

"Oooh….." moaned Shiro as he finished. He slumped back and clutched his stomach.

The boy frowned. "I don’t think he is…maybe we should…"

"Oh no, really. He’s fine!" Kira said brightly, thumping Shiro hard on the back. "Right, niichan?"

For an answer, Shiro leaned forward and threw up on the boy’s shoes.

"There you go. Feeling better already?" Mitsukake asked Shiro as he helped him sit up.

"Hai. Thank you, sir," Shiro said shyly, gingerly feeling his stomach.

Kira’s eyes were wide with wonder. "Wow, what did you do? How did you do that?" she said in an awed voice.

Amiboshi chuckled and placed a hand over Kira’s head. "It’s a trade secret, right Mitsukake?"

The older man smiled. "Yes, it’s a secret. You two could keep secrets can’t you?"

Shiro and Kira looked at each other. "Hai," they said, both trying to best to stifle their giggles.

"Well, then you have a clean bill of health. You can go back to your mom and dad now."

Shiro stood up from Mitsukake’s bed, and a white cat rubbed itself against his legs.

"Ooh! Kawaii! Can I hold him!" asked Kira excitedly.

"Sure," said Mitsikake and Kira scooped the cat up on her arms.

"What’s his name?"

"Tama."

"Helloooo, Tama!" said Kira as she nuzzled Tama against her cheek.

"Kiraaa…." hissed Shiro, as he flushed, embarrassed.

"Oh, it’s ok," said Mitsukake. "Would you like to keep him for a while?" he asked Kira.

"Hontou ni?! I’d love to!" said Kira

"No thanks," piped up Shiro at the same time.

They both looked at each other and glared. Then Kira turned to Mitsukake, "WE’D love to."

Mitsukake smiled again. "Well then, just bring him back here whenever you want."

"Arigatou!" said Kira as she grabbed her backpack form the floor. Shiro did the same and thanked Mitsukake once again. Then to Amiboshi, he said, "Sorry I threw up on your shoes."

"That’s alright. I’ve cleaned it up. No harm done. I guess I’ll take you to back to where your parents are. They must be worried by now," said Amiboshi.

Shiro froze, and so did Kira. Amiboshi frowned. "What’s wrong?"

"Anou…" Kira said, looking at Shiro.

"Well, we didn’t go here with our parents," Shiro explained. "We’re came with our cousin."

Amiboshi nodded, "Ah…well then, I’ll take you back anyway."

"Alright…" said Shiro hesitantly as Amiboshi followed them out the door.

"You take care now. And don’t eat too much at lunch," added Mitsukake as they exited the room.

"Hai. Bye!"

As the door closed behind Amiboshi, he turned to the two children.

"So, where to?"

Shiro fumbled in his pocket and showed him the key. "This is our room."

"Hhmmm…." Said Amiboshi as he studied the room number. "Wait a minute, this is near my friend’s room!"

"Great," Kira said weakly.

They started down the corridor, made several turns and finally stopped at their designated room.

"Hey, that’s where my friend is staying," said Amiboshi, pointing to a room two doors away.

As he did so, voices sounded along the corridor and two figures appeared at the end of the hallway; two girls, one blond and the other a brunette.

"There she is!" said Amiboshi.

"Uhoh…" Shiro and Kira both muttered under their breath. The brunette is no other than the Yuuki girl herself. Shiro quickly moved to unlock the door.

"Umm…thanks for everything. We really do appreciate it. See you around. Bye!" Kira said in a rush as she darted inside the room, pulled Shiro in after her, and slammed the door in the stunned Amiboshi’s face.

"Well, that was rude!" said Shiro.

"What do you want me to do? Wait until he introduces us to his ‘friend’? We’ll get caught!"

"Shows how good your idea was!"

"What? You dare complain after you’ve eaten all that free breakfast?"

"I puked it all out remember?"

"And that’s supposed to be my fault?!"

They both glared at each other, the air between them seeming to crackle with electricity. Then a soft knock on the door jolted them out of their sibling-battle mode.

"Wait! Don’t open it!" Kira squeaked.

Shiro just snorted and yanked the door wide open. Amiboshi stood in front of them, holding out Tama. The Yuuki girl was standing behind him, talking to the blond girl.

"I think you forgot this."

"Thanks!" Kira said, shoving Shiro aside and grabbing Tama. Then she slammed the door shut again.

"Now wait a minute! That was really…!"

"I know! I know!" Kira wailed, setting Tama down gently on the floor. "You don’t have to rub it in! Don’t worry, I’ll make it up to him. I’ll send him a gift or something."

"Jeez, how can you give him a gift when you don’t even have the money," Shiro muttered, rubbing his backside as he got to his feet. "You pushed me!" he said accusingly.

"Gomen, but we’re gonna get caught and I told you not to open the door."

"Aww…alright…" he said grumpily looking around the room. His expression suddenly brightened. "Hey cool!" he said running towards the middle of the room and plopping down among the cushions which were placed around a small table.

"Wow…" said Kira as she rushed towards the screen door at the other end of the room opposite the door and pushed it back. A narrow smooth-pebbled path ran from the screen doors into the inner gardens of the ryokan.

Meanwhile, Shiro was running around, looking at anything and everything inside the room saying, "This is so cool," every now and then. Then flopped back down the cushions and took the remote, and turned on the tv.

"Cool! They have cable! Aaah…I could stay here and watch cartoons all day!"

"Shiro!" cried Kira marching over to him and snatching the control away from him.

"Hey! Give that back!"

"Have you forgotten why we’re here?"

Shiro snatched the controls back. "No, but we have the whole day to do that! It’s so easy! We only need to do three!"

"No way, Jose! We’re getting out of here now! We’re gonna finish it by TODAY and we’re outta here, got it?"

Shiro sighed. "Got it."

He turned off the tv and slowly got to his feet. "Ok, let’s go."

Four hours later….

"Shiro, I’m tired!" Kira whined. They have been walking around for nearly four hours now.

Shiro flopped down a bench and stretched his legs. "Me too."

"And you said his is going to be easy," Kira said as she sat down next to her brother.

"Ok, so I was wrong. C’mon let’s go eat."

Kira eyed his stomach warily. "Are you sure you wanna eat?"

Shiro gave her a wounded look. "Do you honestly think I’d do that again?"

Kira shook her head. "Ok, let’s go."

They got up and started walking towards the banquet hall.

"Hide!" Shiro suddenly hissed, grabbing her arm and dragging her behind some bushes.

"Shiro!"

"Shhh! Pink lady approaching!" he whispered to her.

Kira peeked through the bushes and sure enough, the manager they talked to earlier was walking up the path.

The two huddled together behind the bushes and waited for her to pass. As the footsteps began to fade away, Shiro cautiously stood up.

"C’mon. Let’s go get some food and find ourselves a place where we can eat in peace."

Two hours later…

"Shiro, it’s nearly three o-clock and we haven’t accomplished anything!" Kira whined as she stroked Tama’s head who was cradled in her arms.

Shiro scratched his head. "I don’t get it? Doesn’t anyone need help these days? People are always getting themselves into trouble right? How many people are there in this place? Lots! So what the heck is the matter with them?"

"I’m tireeed…"

"Will you stop that! You’ve been griping the whole afternoon!" Shiro snapped.

Kira suddenly got all quiet. She hugged Tama to her chest and looked at him with big, watery eyes.

"Are you mad at me, niichan?" she asked softly.

Shiro sighed. He knew she was going to cry again. Kira might be a brat most of the time, but he couldn’t bear to see her cry.

"No, of course not. It’s just that I’m tired too. Tell you what, let’s just call Gramps and tell him we need to stay for the night. Then we can go just lie back and watch tv. We’ll finish this tomorrow. What do you think?"

Kira sniffled then gave him a big smile. "Okay!"

She linked her arms through his, and they headed back to their room.

As they passed the tiny bridge built over a narrow stream snaking around the ryokan’s inner garden, something caught Kira’s eye.

"Look Shiro, it’s him!"

They both stopped and Kira pointed to the bridge. The blond girl they saw with the Yuuki girl was leaning on her elbows, looking down at the water while the boy who helped them earlier was standing beside her. They appear to be talking. Or at least, the boy was speaking and the girl listening.

"Oh yes, it’s him. What’s his name again?"

Kira shrugged. "I don’t know, I didn’t ask. Did you?"

Shiro shook his head. "Nope. Boy, that’s so stupid. We even forget to ask him his name."

They watched as the boy moved closer to the girl who looked as if she was not to pleased about it.

"Are they boyfriend and girlfriend?" asked Kira.

"I don’t think so," said Shiro when he saw the girl move a few steps away. The boy followed her and the girl got a really annoyed look on her face. She turned to face him and said something which might have been really mean for a wounded look came over the boy’s face.

The girl walked away and the boy just stood there watching her go with a pained, love-struck, puppy-eyed expression on his face.

"Oooh, I get it! He’s been dumped!" cried Kira.

Shiro nodded his head. "Looks like it."

A slow, wicked grin suddenly spread on Kira’s face. "Tag him, Shiro."

Shiro looked at her puzzled. "What do you mean?"

"I said tag him."

"Tag him??? But he’s not in any trouble!"

"Oh yes he is and WE are gonna help him out."

"Kira," Shiro began but she cut him off.

"Just trust me okay? This is a sure thing! If you tag him, we only have two more to worry about."

Shiro raised an eyebrow skeptically. "And how do you propose to help him out? Play cupid?"

"Exactly!" Kira set Tama down on the ground and began to rummage through her backpack. Pulling her cloak out, she extracted a tiny, red stoppered vial from somewhere within its folds and held it up for Shiro to see. It’s shiny red surface glinted mysteriously in the sunlight.

Shiro’s jaw dropped open. "Kira! Where the heck did you get that?!"

Kira gave him a sly smile. "Okita-san gave it to me! Now tag him!"

Shiro gave her an incredulous look. "No way! That’s cheating!"

Kira frowned. "No it’s not. And don’t worry about it not being credited. Okita-san said he did it before and it worked. Look at him now, he’s already at fifth level."

"No, I won’t do it. It’s cheating," said Shiro.

"Alright then…" said Kira, stuffing her cloak back into her pack. She stood up--then suddenly pounced on Shiro.

"Hey! What the…!?!"

She slipped her hands inside his pockets and pulled out a rectangular strip of paper with strange kanji writings on it.

"…if you won’t do it, I will!" and with that, Kira ran up to the bridge. With one hand, she slapped the paper unto the boy’s back. The paper immediately glowed then disappeared. The boy looked at her in surprise.

"Hi," she chirped.

The boy gave her a questioning look but then returned her greeting.

"Hello," he said.

"Well, bye!" said Kira and she skipped back towards Shiro who was jumping around and tearing at his hair. The boy watched her go, totally confused then shook his head and headed towards the direction the blond girl disappeared to.

"What did you do!!" Shiro bellowed when Kira got back, his head growing disproportionately large.

Kira just shrugged and said, "All done. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it."

Shiro’s face turned beet red and for a moment looked as if he was gonna go on a rampage. Then he let out a huge breath and slapped a hand to his forehead. "Kira…" he sighed in resignation. Picking up Tama, he motioned for her to follow him. "C’mon, lets call Gramps," he said.

Kira beamed and skipped after him.

"I knew you’d say that. Shiro you’re the best!"
