| Rain And Wind Part 2 |
| The two sides of my brain debate hard as I try to think up a reasonable answer until she lifted her head while we still walking and looked at me as I stared forward thinking about the question she asked me. She called my name after it seems an hour in my head but only 3 minutes in real time as I shook my head pretending I didn�t hear her.
� Yeah what? � I answer back. � Well would go out with me? � she said again. As we still walking, we were about to go off the corner of the sidewalk until she said, � wait � as I about to step on to the ground. I look down to see there was a big puddle of water and it wasn�t clean. � That�s deep, � she said as I step back on the corner. I look closely to see that the rain drain was plugged and the water grew as if the leaves and the things were like dams. Her house was about across the street and around the next corner. �I can�t go there I am going to get wet, � she said as I look to see her shoes were only tall below her ankle. I nod with an agreement with her. � Why don�t we take another way?" I look around the area again to see every where it was flooded. It seems that we have to take the longer way around. I sway my head not agreeing with her. � Hmm why don�t you just ride on my back. We are almost there. " She sighs then she said " okay. " I turn around to show my back and she jumped on me. Her arms wrap around my chest and her leg wrap around my torso while I hold them up. It reached around me as I hold both feet by one hand and an umbrella in the other. She felt lighter than the backpack that was on me. She even felt like a feather as she hanged on my like a simple pack back. As I step onto the water it felt like it was ice cold. The water seeps into my shoes I notice there was a little hole. As I trudged deeper into the water it got colder and wetter. As I reach the middle of the street it seems that water got up to my ankles. I still went not noticing the weight of Fei on my back. As I got to the other side she let go of me and drop onto the sidewalk. After a brief while we started to walk again. We walked for a couple feet until we reached to the gate of her house. She said, " can I have my bag. " I stared for a minute at her to see the beauty of her when she was wet a little from the wind and the rain then took off my bag and get her bag out. I gave to her and she asked again for the third time. " Do you want to go out with me. You didn't answer me three times already " she said. I stared at her to see how to tell her. Then the debate in my mind and the battle is over. The winner is... "I can't... I just can't I don't want to hurt you. I just don't want to be your one of your X�s I don't want to have those painful memories. " I said hastily looking into the girls eyes. " I don't know now. It seems not the right time. I can't I just can't. " As I look deeper into her eyes a tear form and it started to drop like the little droplets of rain falling from the darken sky�s of nothingness. " What happen to the hug or the kiss from that night. Don't you care about me? Don't you? " She questioned me wanting me to answer a yes. My brain said to say yes but my lips say nothing for I know love come with a price to pay greatly.I wanted to change my answer... I really wanted to although I don't think i have the courage too. I wanted to say hey I was just kidding. But my moth just didn't open. It stayed close as I look into her eyes After a long period of silence except the howling wind and the pitter-patter of rain dropping towards the cement ground, her tears drop and drop from those beautiful eyes that I could see I shattered her spirit. Then a little murmur from me saying " I am... I am sorry " I said. She looks down for a moment, then from out of no where her hand slaps my face hard. My face turn as I could hear her saying " sorry that's all you got to say... your your... " She couldn't say anything as she run into her house crying with me trying to hold my hand out trying to grab her trying to take her into my own arms. Then I heard a voice. " Hello wake up... " Said the voice. I open my eyes to see that I was still in the library at my desk. I have must have been falling asleep. " The library is closing you must leave now and next time don't fall a sleep said the Liberian. I shook my head to try coming back from what ever that was. " Okay I will can I check out these book first. " I said as I took my things and the books that I fallen asleep on. She smiled and nodded as I walk over to check out my books. As I step out side and see it started to rain just something like my dream. I did everything the same thing as I prepare to go out into the rain. As I hold my umbrella to the front gate I begin to wonder if the dream was real or was it fake. Was it my imagination or some kind of premonition? I set it aside to think it over later. As I came close to the gate I look towards the office to see if she was there and there enough she was. Fei standing there lonely and cold as ever and just like my dream I walk over. I think it over and remember everything from my dream and I was expecting to do everything the same except at the ending it will change. That I don't have to dream about anymore. |
