XXI- The World - The dualism of the last card are resolved in the two fish swimming in infinite space. One is white marked with the black sun, the other is black marked with the white moon. The white fish bites the tail of the black fish and the black fish bites the tail of the white fish, and in their dance the harmonious universe is balanced. This is the Taoist vision of the cosmos, and one of the most potent symbols ever devised in the magical tradition. The 4 clouds in the 4 corners are the 4 elements. This connects Key XXI with Key X. In Key XXI the universe is seen as the Taoist yin yang, in Key X the universe is seen as the Buddhist eight spoke wheel or rebirth marked by the 8 trigrams of the I Ching. The blue violet sky is the color of Tav, the 32nd path on the Tree of Life that rules The World, the planet Saturn and the element earth. This yin yang also appears as a mask worn by Justice in Key VIII, connecting the Law of the Universe, known as dharma in Buddhism, with the fluctuations of the yin yang symbol.
