III- The Empress- The veil of the Empress' canopied throne is parted open and the Empress crowned in the gold of the sun emerges from this parted doorway. This is the womb open and giving birth to the child. The lantern on the top of the canopy is the Hermit's lantern and represents the spermatozoa which fertilizes the womb of the mother. The four servants carrying the throne are the four elements. The canopy is made of stripes of yellow and blue, being the paths of The Magician and the High Priestess on the Tree of Life. The two colors combined form the color green, the color of The Empress on the Tree of Life.  The parted canopy is the doorway that is the symbolic shape of Daleth the Hebrew letter that rules Empress. The red ribbons binding the canopy are symbolic of the letter Heh. Heh rules the next card in the series, the Emperor who is the child that emanates out of the womb door of the mother.
