| XIII- Death - An Alchemical version of Death is used in this key. The Saturnine raven crowed in silver and emanating 16 red rays, is the soul transformed through the blackening process of death. Silver in both the crown and the curve of the scythe's blade is lunar, for the number 13 on the Tree of Life is ruled by the Moon. The red rays are the 16 kalas of the Tantrik tradition. Time is shown in the hourglass and the traditional scythe, both symbols of the planet Saturn. The black vesica at the face of death is the womb of Kali, the Hindu goddess of Birth and Death. | ||||||||||
