“1914 - Model - T”

Sweet Lady of rocky highways,
driven from coast to coast.
The dream and the creation,
for which Henry Ford could boast.
The year was Nineteen-fourteen,
“Tin Lizzy” she was named.
Engine powered mobile transportation,
four wheeled boxy she was framed.
Spoken wheels without saying,
rubber tires with tubes inside.
Saddled with two leather seats,
that all could take a ride.
Her brassy onlook showing,
roof covered with canvas tarp.
The driver wind protected,
her squeeze horn sounded sharp.
Her color came as basic.
black from end to end.
The sputtering engine powering,
her place in hearts to blend.
