“Serious”

I walked into the room,
where my daughter sat.
“Get out, get out, I’m Serious,”
were the words she spat.

So I said, “Hello Serious,
my name is dad.”
“Greatest pain in the butt,
a daughter ever had.”

“Get out, get out, I’m Serious,”
words once more to me.
“Yes I know you’re Serious,
as throughout life you’ll be.”

“Get out, get out, I’m Serious.”
one last time was heard.
As I left her sitting there,
chirping like a mocking bird.

So now I have a daughter,
Serious is her name.
Remembrance of it being Erin,
love this silly game.
