* * No great people or places are reflected here. Only the simple tales of the
common folk, that lived and died in that era known as the “Civil War”. May
these poems pay tribute to them. Soldiers of both North and South, black and
white, man and woman that fought for causes they thought right and just.
* * Some fought as soldiers in uniform, others served as civilians in support.
Manufacturing war goods, providing war related services and caring for the
wounded and the dying. As well as those that put the dead to final rest.
