The kitten laid in the sunshine,
the warmth of sun beaming down.
She relaxed in near slumber,
lying on the high grassed ground.
Suddenly a beautiful butterfly,
whisked by her gentle nose.
The adrenaline started pumping,
her ears down to her toes.
She sprung to her feet,
like lightening in a flash.
Spotted the flying butterfly,
gave chase in a dash.
The flight of the butterfly,
up, down, to and fro.
The kitten leaping and twisting,
never contact to know.
Soon the butterfly grew weary,
as it took to higher sky.
The kitten laid back exhausted,
giving forth a kitten sigh.
