There upon the streets of Heaven,
walked a man with heavy heart.
Though he and wife went together,
they were now split apart.
He thought about her dying grace,
knowing she had been good.
Wondered if “St. Peter at The Gate”,
might not have understood.
They had prayed together every night,
their marriage it was strong.
Carried each other through troubled time,
he wondered just what went wrong.
Then came a voice, “The Master”,
“Fret no more my son”.
“For just as your wedded years,
your union is still as one”.
With that came a familiar voice,
it was that of his earthly wife.
She had stopped to visit Grandma,
here too for the Heavenly Life.
