"To Belong"  Written By DeeDee Shrogin

She tries to dream of auric dawns
But deep inside her eyes is a darkness
Like a candle never touching flame
She's not allowed to burn
In her hands she holds a key
That seems to open nothing
But she keeps it still
In bosom clenched with knuckles white
She just won't let it go
She whispers to the winds her songs
But they only fall on air
They are all unaware and never hear them
Like a dancer with no music
She keeps going on
But her eyes, they give it all away
Her broken soul
She has no name
She writes letters without words
Hollow cries to her empty world
All that she desires
Is that place to rest
And someone to call her own
To hold her when she's cold
To take the key she keeps so near
And say that she belongs.
