| The Scorpio Murders is the seventeenth novel in the proposed D Is For Damien series, and takes place in October 1996. To this day it remains unfinished and mostly unwritten, though a basic plot has been drawn up (which may be changed drastically at a future time).
All characters in this story, to my knowledge, are of my own creation. The city of Cheboygan, and some of the locations mentioned, are real, while some others are not and are used fictionally. The story itself is of my own creation, and may not be used by others without permission. Basic synopsis: Damien and the police investigate a strange murder that appears to be tied to Scorpio...but the crime isn't one of theirs. Could it be the mysterious Black Eagle cult? THIS STORY IS STILL IN ROUGH FORM, TYPOS AND PLOT HOLES INCLUDED. Please point them out, but don't expect me to be surprised. Interesting story tidbits: Yet another Broderick relative appears; Officer Troy D'Amato first shows up; a bit of Puck's past is revealed; two long-term relationships between the characters begin; several very important characters from the past make their returns; the mysterious past of the Scorpio Task Force is explained; the first hints of the Scorpio splinter group, the Black Eagle, appear; Derrick Grant begins to sever his ties with Scorpio by assisting Damien; and there are some truly wonky out-of-character bits in here, including one with a visiting Lieutenant Kincaid and a strategically placed spoon. :) |
