THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE
| The Devil's Advocate is the twentieth novel in the proposed D Is For Damien series, and takes place around autumn 1999. To this day it remains unwritten, though a basic plot has been drawn up (which may be changed drastically at a future time). Like the majority of the D Is For Damien novels, I have no plans to work on it in the near future.
Basic synopsis: Shades of Minot, Damien and company receive word of cultlike activity near Tiffin, Ohio, and go to investigate. There they meet Detective Dale Tiffen (no relation to the city :) ) and the other members of the local police force, some of whom, as in Minot, appear to have rather shady reputations...Tiffen among them. It turns out that Tiffen has accidentally killed the high priest of the Scorpio cult in the area...and now faces the choice of taking his place, or being killed himself. Which to choose? Interesting story tidbits: Detectives Tiffen and Nakamura, as well as others of the Tiffin police force, first appear; another possible offshoot of the Scorpio cult is recognized.
