| On The Run is the eighth novel in the proposed D Is For Damien series, and takes place around July 1992. To this day it remains unfinished and mostly unwritten, though a basic plot has been drawn up (which may be changed drastically at a future time). Like the majority of the D Is For Damien novels, I have no plans to work on it in the near future.
Basic synopsis: This novel veers away from the Scorpio storyline into a completely different one. A convenience store owner's daughter is kidnapped by a man who once held up the same place--along with Damien! Knowing how the bad guy thinks, Damien gets involved in order to try to rescue Jennifer Crown from his old ex-partner Jack Stanton (who he turned in, when he struck a deal). Damien's lawyer also somehow becomes involved, and they end up on a wonky chase, each trying to foil the other. This novel is also meant to be along more comedic lines than most of the others in the series. THIS STORY IS STILL IN ROUGH FORM, TYPOS AND PLOT HOLES INCLUDED. Please point them out, but don't expect me to be surprised. Interesting story tidbits: This is the first novel that does not involve a Satanic cult as its main theme; it's also funnier and less serious than the others; Damien's criminal past is first shown in detail; Davison Temple, Damien's lawyer, first appears. This story was originally known as D Is For Damien 4: On The Run. |
