DEPROGRAMMER
| Deprogrammer is the thirteenth novel in the proposed D Is For Damien series, and takes place around December/January 1993-4. To this day it remains unfinished and mostly unwritten, though a basic plot has been drawn up (which may be changed drastically at a future time). Like the majority of the D Is For Damien novels, I have no plans to work on it in the near future.
Basic synopsis: Damien is kidnapped by Scorpio and forced to undergo indoctrination--seemingly effectively brainwashing him. The cult then sets him loose--on those who trust him the most. While I believe the story has a great premise, I can't see how it could be pulled off believably, especially in novel-length format. THIS STORY IS STILL IN ROUGH FORM, TYPOS AND PLOT HOLES INCLUDED. Please point them out, but don't expect me to be surprised. Interesting story tidbits: There may be the first description of Scorpio's brainwashing techniques, as Damien has to undergo them; Dr. Lynn Leja first appears; Luther is captured by the police; this was originally meant to be the final story in the D Is For Damien series. |
