Sisters of Battle were the first army that I started to build for 40K.  I originally was playing Necromunda at the time, and saw the miniatures for the Sisters and thought that they were so cool, that I bought the 40K box set just so I could play them.  Then 3rd edition came out and I didn't like the rules for them as they were written at the time, so they got put away in favor of building other armies instead.  But, with the release of Chapter Approved, they were updated to a more viable force, so I added to them and built them up some more.  Now I have a complete army which I have dubbed "The Order of the Crimson Rose".

I built this scene and painted all the miniatures seen for a painting contest.  It was during the Tyranid campaign, back when the 3rd edition Tyranids were being released.  It actually won some points for Imperial side.  It was the first time that I tried to make something like this.  I used the shrine from the Sisters of Battle box set when they first came out, and left over chaiot pieces for the fence, and a brazier from Skaven Screaming Bell set.
