I always wanted an Imperial Guard army, but not a convential Guard army. I wanted them to be different from the norm. Most of the miniatures that Games Workshop makes are based on some conventional armies in history. And what I really wanted to do was to use the Praetorian minis, and some Scottish Highlander minis, mix and match the two, and make a British Colonial Guard army. But the time, money, and rarity of the Praetorian figs made that just too difficult. So I settled on Chaos.
I was always intrigued by a Chaos Guard army. I mean, if you read the stories and fluff, you know they are out there, but you never really see them. So, considering my penchant for things anti-imperial, I decided to make my own Chaos Guard army.
