Jack cannot believe his own two ears, what Kasumi said.

SAMURAI JACK: (surprise) Did you say----- the son of The Emperor?

KASUMI: Yes I did, why?

SAMURAI JACK: Oh no thing, no thing at all.

KASUMI: ------ Anyway, it all began; I was feeding doves……….

Jack memory started to flash back.

And he remembers the day he met Kasumi, as a child. Kasumi as a child was name Kas. She found herself seating on a bench feeding doves; she was near an aparese breach. Suddenly, some one took her doll. Kas turned around and saw three mean Bullies. The shorter Bully had her doll and was waving it at Kas.

BULLY 1: (smurck on his face) Well look what I found.

Kas was angry, got off the bench and try to reach up to get her doll. The Bully was taller and was holding up the doll with his hand. He began to pass it out to the other Bullies so Kas could catch it. One of the Bullies pushed Kas down on the ground.

THE BULLIES: (laughing at Kas)

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): (sniffing)

Meanwhile on top of the bridge was a little boy wearing a hat and reading book about great samurai; that young boy was Jack. He raised his head and hears laughter coming from the bottom of the bridge. He leans to look down and saw The Bullies picking on a little girl, who was crying. Little Jack didn’t like The Bullies and he became angry at their abuse. Little Jack left the bridge and ran to the bottom to deferd the little girl. He took out his favorite white ball hidden inside his kimono and threw it at the short far Bully hitting on the back. The Bully turned around when he felt the ball hit his back.

BULLY 1: What was that?

Little Jack picks up the ball that had roll back to his feel; and return it back inside his kimono.

BULLY 1: Hey boys, it looks like we have a little company.

BULLY 2: Yes, umm, a little shrimp.

BULLY 3: Let’s hang him up on a tree, like a Christmas ornament.

BULLY 1: Good idea.

All three of them ran to Little Jack to grab him. But Little Jack took a big leap and jump, over them. Short bully pointed at Little Jack for the other Bullies to get him. They circle Little Jack to attack him, Little Jack leap into the air and with a swift round kick, kicked two Bullies on head pick them both by their feet and slammed them together. Kas and The Short Bully looked in amazement at Little Jack with both bullies in his hands made circles with them in the air and threw them against the bridge wall. The Short Bully was very angry with Little Jack. He approached Little Jack and looked him down then he pushed Little Jack down knocking Little Jack’s hat off. The short bully grabbed his hat and punching a hole through it, threw the hat back at Little Jack who was on the floor.

BULLY 1: (laughing at Little Jack)

Little Jack picks up his hat and tears were coming out if his eyes. He looked at Kas, and the two Bullies who were at the bridge wall. He gazed at the short bully who was laughing at him. Little Jack became furious; he dropped his hat and wiped his tears. He got up from the ground and approached the short bully tapping him with his finger.

BULLY 1: (quickly stop laughing)

Little Jack looking him hard started punching and kicking the bully. Kas was surprised as she saw Little Jack pushing the bully to the ground.

Little Jack grab the bully into the air and spined him around in circles throwing him at the other bullies. He approached the bullies who opened their eyes and saw Little Jack. Staring down and pointing at The Bullies Little Jack, gave the sign for The Bullies to split and get out they all where scare and ran under the bridge and never came back. Little Jack picks up Kas’s doll and walking to her noticed that Kas was scared of him because he bit up the bullies. She got off the ground and ran toward the bridge.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): (screaming)

Little Jack was shocked he didn’t expect her to do that.

That night, Little Jack was looking for her and spotted her in her bedroom sleeping in her bed.

LITTLE JACK: Pzzz!!

The sound awoke Kas, whom quickly opened her eyes and saw Little Jack out her window. She was terribly shock to see him standing outside her window. He raised his hands and gave Kas her doll back. Kas reached for the doll and starting hugging the doll. She then turn to Little Jack and gave him a thank you bow. He bows back to her to show your welcome. Little Jack turn around to get back home when Kas run to her window.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): (scream) WAIT!

Little Jack stops walking and returned to Kas.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): would you like to play with me.

Little Jack smiled. Then there was a flash back to reality where Jack was thinking.

KASUMI: I ask him to play with me. We were playing pillow fight. We were having fun together. (she turned to Jack) Say Jack?

SAMURAI JACK: (turn to Kasumi) Hmm.

KASUMI: Do you love to play pillow fights, when you were a boy?

SAMURAI JACK: (smiled) Yes.

Then came a flash back.

Kas and Little Jack grabbed two white pillows from Kas’s bed. They were staring each other down, with smiles on their faces. Kas ran to Little Jack; and Little Jack ran to Kas. They stopped and started to hit each other with pillows. Kas hits Little Jack, and Little Jack hits Kas. He started to chase Kas, all around the room. Little Jack raised the pillow, and threw it at Kas. Kas was been hit and fell on the floor. Little Jack approached Kas while she looked at him. Kas grab the pillow and hit Little Jack with it, and he fell on the floor.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): (laughing)

Little Jack stands up and started to laugh also.

LITTLE JACK: (laughing with Kas)

They jumped on Kas’s bed, and they were still laughing at each other.

LITTLE JACK AND KAS: (continue laughing)

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Oh boy, ha ha ha ha. I just love pillow fights.

LITTLE JACK: Ha ha, me too.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): So, ha ha ha. You love to fight, do you?

LITTLE JACK: Yes I do. (he stands up on Kas’s bed) Someday, when I grow up, I will become a great samurai warrior. (looking kind of brave)

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Sounds like you have a great dream.

LITTLE JACK: Yes I have.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Hmmm--- You know something, there is something missing. And I know what it is? We haven’t introduce ourselves.

Kas a rise from her bed.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): I am Kas. What is your name, my friend?

Little Jack was about to say his name, when suddenly; a voice was calling for Kas.

VOICE: Kas………. Kas…

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): (gasps) Oh no! (she grabbed Little Jack’s hand) Come, you must hide!

Kas pulled Little Jack near to the closet. She had open the closet; and push Little Jack in there very quickly. Kas was about to close the closet door; Little Jack grab the door for Kas cannot close it.

LITTLE JACK: (holding the closet door) What is going on here, and why are you putting me in your closet?

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Forgive me my friend. It is just my uncle Moto doe’s not like visitors. If he saw you in here; he’ll go crazy.

LITTLE JACK: Why?

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): I do not know? Listen, whatever you do---- I mean, shhh.

Kas closed the closet door. She pick up her two pillows one by one and placed them on her bed. Then she quickly collected all the feathers that came form the pillows that were lying on the floor. She throws all of the feathers out the window. Kas got on her bed and closed her eyes. Suddenly, her uncle open door and he was a young man. He had a short gray mustache. He walked in and saw Kas sleeping. He discovers a feather by the window and walk toward it. Moto wonder how did a feather get inside the window. He drew it out; closed the window and pull the curtains together. Moto gently woke up Kas while Little Jack was still in the closet Little Jack watched him through the jarred door.

MOTO (YOUNG): Kas, Kas wake up.

Kas opened her eyes and noticed her uncle seating on the bed next to her.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Oh, good evening uncle Moto.

MOTO (YOUNG): Did you sleep well?

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): (look kind of nervous) Um… Um… Um… Um…. Yes.

She made a silly grim at her uncle.

MOTO (YOUNG): Why are you looking at me like that?

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Oh well I….. I…. I…. (didn’t finish her sentence)

MOTO (YOUNG): Oh I know what is wrong. You probably still thinking what happen this afternoon.

Kas didn’t say anything, she remained silent.

MOTO (YOUNG): I suppose you are wondering did I get that from. Your father and mother explained what happen to you today. Your parent said: "three older hooligans tried to hurt you. But then a younger hooligan fought against those three ruffians" (he continue) But the most important thing is that you are safe and sound from those bullies and that little boy. You almost got yourself hurt out there. You should be careful where you play.

Kas gave her uncle an angry stare.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Really, well I wish I were in a box of idiots!

All of the sudden, Moto and Kas heard Little Jack’s chuckle in the closet.

LITTLE JACK: (chuckling in the closet.)

MOTO (YOUNG): What was that?

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Um………. Dogs barking outside,

MOTO (YOUNG): (pointing his finger at his niece) I heard someone laugh in here.

Moto got up from the bed, walked to the closet, he open the door and discover Little Jack hiding inside. Shyly, Little Jack wave hello to Moto.

MOTO (YOUNG): (shriek) OH MY GOD! THERE IS A STRANGER IN THE HOUSE!!

Moto was about to grab Little Jack and Little Jack went through Moto’s legs, escaping to the door. Kas quickly follow Little Jack. Moto turn and chased them. Down stairs, someone opened the front door. It was Kas’s parents.

KAS’S FATHER: Moto, Kas, we’re home.

Little Jack ran out door between Kas’s parents.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): (follows Little Jack out the door) Hello father, Hello mother!

Moto came out of the room chasing them.

MOTO (YOUNG): (screaming) COME BACK HERE!!

Suddenly, Moto trip on the floor rug and fell down his glasses slipped off his face. He quickly try to find them but he couldn’t see them on them floor.

MOTO (YOUNG): My glasses, I cannot see them.

Kas’s parents looked at each other with a puzzling expression.

KAS’S MOTHER: (recognize Little Jack) Is that The Emperor’s son running away with our daughter?

KAS’S FATHER: Yes he is.

Meanwhile outside in the wheat field, Little Jack and Kas found each other.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): I don’t think he is not following us.

LITTLE JACK: (breathless) Is your uncle Moto always that strange?

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): (still catching her breath) Yes must of the time.

She watches as Little Jack tries to leave.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Where are you going?

LITTLE JACK: I have to go home it is getting late.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): How about if I walk you home.

LITTLE JACK: (extended his hand to Kas) All right then.

Kas took his hand and they started the journey.

It was full moon and they could see clearly that they where out of the wheat field in town.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): You know I still don’t know your name. So please tell me, what is your name?

Little Jack was about to say his name once again. When all the sudden, Little Jack stop walking because he heard a voice calling out in the long distance.

VOICE: Son……!! Son…….!!

Little Jack placed his hand right next to his ear. To hear the voice louder.

VOICE: (louder) Son……!! Son…….!!

Suddenly, he recognized the voice. It was his father, The Emperor. Little Jack started to follow his father his father’s voice. Kas was curious. She started to follow her new friend, to find out what is going on.

THE EMPEROR (YOUNG): (louder) Son….!!

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): (running) You recognize this voice?

Little Jack turned to Kas, while he follows his father’s voice.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): (running) Who’s calling "Son?"

LITTLE JACK: (running) My father.

Kas stop running for a moment. Then she started to run again.

Sooner or later they stop and they saw the imperial palace. Where Little Jack’s family where calling out loud to him.

THE EMPEROR (YOUNG): (yelling loudly) SON! WHERE ARE YOU?!

THE EMPRESS (YOUNG): (yelling loudly) SON! IS TIME TO COME HOME! (Worrying) Oh father, I think our son is lost.

THE EMPEROR (YOUNG): Now do not worry mother, you know our son cannot be lost. We will continue calling out to him until he hear us.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): (gasps)

Kas was shock when she found out that Little Jack was The Emperor’s Son. Little Jack turn to see Kas look of surprise.

LITTLE JACK: Is there something wrong?

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): (in disbelief) Y- y- y- your father is The Emperor, and your mother is The Empress.

LITTLE JACK: (looking left and right and to Kas) Yes, you are correct. My father is The Emperor; and my mother is The Empress.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Then that makes you the……… Prince, right?

Little Jack nodded yes.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Why don’t tell me this?

LITTLE JACK: You did not ask me.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Well, uh………..

THE EMPEROR (YOUNG): (yelling loudly) SON! WHERE ARE YOU?!

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Well I think you should go home now. Your father is calling.

LITTLE JACK: I guess I should.

THE EMPEROR (YOUNG): (yelling loudly) SON!

LITTLE JACK: (yelling loudly) I’M COMING FATHER! (turn to Kas) Well I better be going now. Thank you for a wonderful time at your house Kas. I have a wonderful time being with you.

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Really?

LITTLE JACK: Really?

KAS (LITTLE KASUMI): Well, goodbye then.

Kas and Little Jack gave each other a goodbye bow. Quickly Little Jack turns and ran to his parents as Kas watch him leave. She stood silently. Little Jack was running and turns around to smile at her. Kas frown turn into a smile. Little Jack reaches his parents who where happy to see him, and his mother bend down to hug him. She then picks him up and passed him to his father. The Emperor placed him over his shoulder and all of them went inside while Little Jack wave goodbye to Kas. Kas sweetly waved back with a smile. She turns around and started to head for home. Then there was a flash back

To reality where Jack was still thinking.

KASUMI: And that was the last time I saw him. Boy, I really do miss him. I wish I knew what happened to him. I hope Aku didn’t kill him. (scare) I’m so frighten!

SAMURAI JACK: Do not be afraid Kasumi. He is not dead, he is still alive. I will tell you what really happened to The Emperor’s Son.

KASUMI: Hmm?

Meanwhile downstairs in Kasumi’s kitchen her uncle Moto prepare for the Japanese tea ceremony for himself. Moto reached out for some green tea powder and whisked it into a frothy inside a bowl. He added hot water from the iron kettle, which was simmering by the fire. He was still upset because of his niece’s anger. He was feeling sorry for her.

Meanwhile, in Kasumi’s room. Samurai Jack was still telling the story about Kasumi’s friend.

SAMURAI JACK: …… He forged into battle with Aku, where victory was imminent. But Aku had tricked him. And flung him from his own time, into a distant time in the future. To reclaim his homeland from the evil Aku. Where The Emperor’s Son must find a passage back home in time. During his journey back home he met with friends and enemies.

KASUMI: Wow! My friend from the past is now a grown up; and a warrior. Wait a minute. How do you know about this Jack?

SAMURAI JACK: Because Kasumi…………. Your friend from the past is in your room, sitting right next to you on your bed.

KASUMI: What?

SAMURAI JACK: Kasumi? I’m the son of The Emperor.

Kasumi started to laugh at Jack.

KASUMI: Ha ha ha ha ha! You, the son of The Emperor? Ha ha ha ha ha! You are so funny! Ha ha!

SAMURAI JACK: I am not fooling around Kasumi! I am your friend from your past, really!

KASUMI: Jack, this is so ridiculous. All right then, if you’re my old friend; you must have proof. Like--------------- (thinking carefully) The family sword that you were talking about.

Jack showed his sword to Kasumi.

SAMURAI JACK: (holding his sword) Look for the mark of the emperor family crest on my sword shaft.

Jack handed his sword to Kasumi. Kasumi carefully looked on Jack’s sword, and there it was, the mark of the emperior family crest. Kasumi lowered the sword and stared in disbelief when then she realized that Jack was the son of The Emperor. With trembling hands, she dropped the sword on her bed. She was shaking while she realized that a long childhood friend was alive and he was Jack.

Back in the living room, Moto was about to drink his green tea, when suddenly he heard Kasumi’s screams.

KASUMI: (in her room) AAAHHHH!!!!

Moto dropped his tea when he heard his niece screaming.

MOTO: Oh no, Kasumi is screaming. She looks like she is in trouble. I must go to her, but first… I must finish my tea ceremony.

He picks up his teacup from the floor.

Back upstairs; Kasumi had fainted on the floor after she screamed. Jack got out of the bed and tried to wake up Kasumi.

SAMURAI JACK: Kasumi! Kasumi! Wake up!

Jack rushed to the dresser took the vase, removed the flowers and splash the water on Kasumi’s face. Startle Kasumi wok up.

SAMURAI JACK: Are you feeling better?

Kasumi try screaming again.

KASUMI: AAAHH!!!!

But Jack covers her mouth.

SAMURAI JACK: Quiet Kasumi, you don’t want your uncle Moto to find out I am here. I will release you, but please no more screaming.

Gentle he removed his hand from Kasumi’s mouth.

KASUMI: I cannot believe that you are the son of The Emperor, and my long lost friend. But the emperor family crest on your sword shaft cannot tell lies. You are him. And you’re here, in my house (tears coming out of her eyes) In person. All grown-up; and you’re (sniffing) A samurai warrior!

Kasumi placed her hands on her face and started to weep.

KASUMI: (sobbing)

Jack placing his hands on Kasumi’s arms, while Kasumi still has her hands on her face.

SAMURAI JACK: Calm down Kasumi.

KASUMI: (still sobbing)

SAMURAI JACK: Please do not cry Kasumi. I cannot stand to see a woman weep.

Kasumi removed her hands out of her face; and looked at Jack.

SAMURAI JACK: I know that you miss me. I also miss you, Kasumi. But I didn’t know that you and your uncle living in this miserable land of Aku’s.

KASUMI: May I ask you something?

SAMURAI JACK: Oh sure.

KASUMI: Why you never told me your name was Jack?

Jack looking down on the left. And he gazed at Kasumi.

SAMURAI JACK: Well, to be honest with you. When I’d arrived in this future, there were these three peculiar locals, who witness my flips and landing. They were impress. So therefore they’re the ones who named me "Jack."

KASUMI: Oh. So they’re the ones who named you that name. But what does your father and mother actually called you?

SAMURAI JACK: (thinking) My father and mother just call me "Son."

KASUMI: Son? Is that what they call you?

SAMURAI JACK: Yes.

KASUMI: I like "Jack" better. Jack is a wonderful name.

SAMURAI JACK: You do?

KASUMI: Hmm-mmm.

SAMURAI JACK: Thank you Kasumi. That is the nieces thing that anyone ever said to me. (giggling) You know something? I think I’m beginning to love name, more and more.

Suddenly Moto opened the door and saw Kasumi and Jack with a surprise look on their faces.

MOTO: (started to scram loudly) AAAHH!!!!

Kasumi and Jack covered their ears.

KASUMI: (shouting) UNCLE MOTO PLEASE STOP SCREAMING!

Moto stopped screaming.

MOTO: (pointing at Jack) What is he doing here?!

Kasumi tried to explain but Moto kept interrupting her.

KASUMI: But uncle Moto…

MOTO: (pointed his finger again at his niece) I thought I told you not to bring strangers to this house again. But you had disobeyed me Kasumi. You brought the demon from the record shop. And now he has come to take us to Aku.

KASUMI: But uncle, Jack is not a demon. He’s a living mortal like you and me. And beside he doesn’t work for Aku he is against Aku’s tyranny.

MOTO: Mmm, I do not care if he is a mortal or not, but I still want him out. So Kasumi I am letting you throw out this intruder out of my house, since I am an elderly man now.

Placing her hand on her lips Kasumi look doubtful at Jack and Moto. She raised her hand to indicate no.

KASUMI: No! I will not throw my love away!

Jack and Moto where surprise at Kasumi for saying that.

MOTO: What?

SAMURAI JACK: What?

MOTO: Kasumi? You have falling in love with him?

KASUMI: Yes I have. And you should not be so rude to The Emperor’s Son that way.

MOTO: "The Emperor’s Son?" That man is The Emperor’s Son? Wait a minute. When was this Kasumi? I haven’t even met him.

KASUMI: (pointing her finger at Moto) Oh but you did uncle Moto.

Kasumi walked to Moto.

KASUMI: Uncle Moto, remember the little boy who was in my closet many years ago?

MOTO: Him? The little stranger; but he’s long gone forever!

KASUMI: Well my dear uncle. The stranger happens to be The Emperor’s child.

MOTO: (gasp) You mean that little boy is The Emperor’s child?

KASUMI: Exactly!

MOTO: Why is he here then?

KASUMI: The evil Aku has sent him into our future, which is rule cruel hand. (she kneel down in front of her uncle) Please let Jack spend the night with us. He is being walking days and nights and he’s exhausted. (begged and with her hands in prayer.) He saves my life from those evil Mushtors. Please uncle Moto please let him stay for the night.

Moto could not refuse Kasumi and with a resign face.

MOTO: All right Kasumi, you win this time. I can’t put out The Emperor’s Son out in the cold night. He can stay for night.

Kasumi stands up.

KASUMI: Thank you! Thank you uncle Moto.

Moto turned to the door and looked back at Jack.

MOTO: Jack, I want you to take good care of my niece. (mad) But if anything bad happens to her, I’m going to….

SAMURAI JACK: Do not worry Moto. She will be save with me.

MOTO: Well then, good night Jack, good night Kasumi.

Moto opened the door and left the room.

KASUMI: (clapped her hands) Well Jack, now you have a nice home to spend the night. (expression) Why are you staring at me like that?

SAMURAI JACK: (pointed at Kasumi his face showing disbelief) You are in love with me?

KASUMI: (becoming serious and holding her hands together to show respect.) Yes is true.

SAMURAI JACK: How could this be?

KASUMI: I will glad to tell you about it, but let’s go outside is cooler out there.

Outside the starry night beautiful the sky. They walk approach the balcony is silent.

KASUMI: When I saw you and your family go inside the palace, I decided to go back home as well. (sigh) That night I had a dream about you and me, under the cherry blossom tree, holding hands and you gave me a cherry blossom and placed it on my hair. (showing the pink flower to Jack) That is why I have this flower on my hair, to remembered my dream.

SAMURAI JACK: Then what happen?

KASUMI: After that we were playing chasing each other around the tree and accidentally we kissed. (giggling) That’s how I knew I loved you. (she blush)

SAMURAI JACK: You know, I had the same dream like you. And you know something. I think I’m beginning to love you too.

Jack facing Kasumi with a loving expression.

KASUMI: (happy) Really that is wonderful Jack.

Kasumi walk back to her room and pick up the record she blew out the dust.

SAMURAI JACK: Kasumi, what are you doing?

Kasumi put on the record and turn to look at Jack.

KASUMI: We are going to dance the night away. Did your mother and father dance in the palace balcony?

Jack started to remember and there was a flash back.

Little Jack walked on the balcony with a storybook in his hands. He saw his mother and father doing the tango.

THE EMPRESS (YOUNG): (giggling)

THE EMPEROR (YOUNG): Oh mother, you dance Devine.

Little Jack was surprise he never seen his mother and father dancing like that. Then there was a flash back to reality.

And Jack was before Kasumi.

SAMURAI JACK: Yes as a matter of fact.

Taking his sword, Jack placed it against Kasumi’s well; next to her bed. Kasumi turned the record player on and it started playing. They where in balcony again.

SAMURAI JACK: (bowing like a gentlemen) May I have this dance?

KASUMI: (cursy back to Jack) It will be my pleasure sir Jack.

They started dancing.

After a while he dipped Kasumi and they kissed.

But little did they did they know someone far, far away, in throne room with a mirror that look through the outside world was watching them. It was Aku. Who looked at them in discuss.

AKU: (watching his nemesis kissing his girl) How vile it looks. The Samurai has fallen in love with girl who is in my land. (to himself) And she said I kill her family in the past. (thinking) Mmm…. Maybe I did kill somebody after all. You know what I hate worst than warriors – is love! How do I despise it. Is a good thing that I, Aku will not fall in love. Not for a gazillion years! I must put it end to this "Samurai Love", once and for all. (continue watching them kissing) Keep on kissing Samurai Jack. (he rubs his hands together in anticipation for his revenge.) Because you will not be kissing for long.

Aku spins around to disappear while he is laughing out loud.

AKU: (evil laughter)

The next morning the sun was bright in the forest. In the house balcony, Jack and Kasumi were sleeping by each other. Suddenly, Jack woke up and slowly opens his eyes and heard a bubbling noise. He turned and looking down saw a black puddle. Jack knew that Aku was up to something. Jack turns to Kasumi and saw her cuddled in his shoulder. He picks her up and carried her to her bed, placed her gently down. He grabbed the sword that was leaning against the wall and put it on his side. He then gave Kasumi a kiss.
