SAMURAI JACK: Hello, is there anyone here?
Jack waiting to see or hear for an answer. He got no answer; he was alone in the house. Looking around, Jack realized the house was a mess.SAMURAI JACK: What a mess, I think if I am going to stay here for a while, I better clean it up a bit.
Jack put his hat on a coat hanger. He layed his sword next to his hat. Jack found a broom next to the stove and started sweeping the floor, then he washed the dishes and dusted every where, including the furniture. Jack quickly grabbed a bucket and filled it with water at kitchen sink. He scrubbed the floor. He washed the window. Picked up some clothes laying on top of a table took it outside to washed it at the lake. He hanged the clothes on a clothesline to dry.
It grew dark and night came. Jack got a candle and went upstairs to find a room to sleep. Jack opened a bedroom door and found two beds, one with the name "Ronald" and another with the named "Kenny."
SAMURAI JACK: Ronald and Kenny? This room looks like a teenage room.
Jack closed the door and went to other room. He saw a large bed with two big pillows. Jack had found a resting place to sleep. Jack put the candle down on the bed stand and pulled down the bed sheets, sat on the bed and took off his sandals. Jack tucks himself with the bed cover. He blew up the candle flame. He felt as sleep he was very tired.
Meanwhile, in the dark, scary wood two figures where walking in the woods. One of the held a lantern to illuminate the way home. They were two teenage boys, named "Ronald" and "Kenny." Kenny stands on a twick and made a loud cracking noise making the bats come out of the trees. The boys got very scare when they saw the bats coming their way.
THE SCARY BOYS: AAAHH!!!
They scream and started to run dropping the lantern. They fell on the floor covering their heads with their hands. The bats flew past them. Slowly Ronald looked up
KENNY: (raised his head and turn to his brother) What�s wrong Ronald? (looked at his house) There is a light in our home.
RONALD: (pointing at the house) But who could be in out home?
KENNY: (shaking with fright) You think it could be a spook or demon monster or even the grim ripper.
RONALD: Well, whatever it is, we will soon find out.
Ronald got up from the ground with his brother. Slowly, they approached the house and carefully opened the door. They sneaked quietly in side. Kenny closed the door hard and it�s startled Ronald who was hoping to be quiet. Angrily he turned to his brother. Kenny folded his arms backwards and grin apologetically.
RONALD: Oh my gosh!
KENNY: (shaking with fear) What�s the matter? Is it the thing?
RONALD: Well, you look at this? Can�t you see what�s wrong? The place is clean.
KENNY: Yeah, but who could do this?
Ronald posed for a second he was trying to figure out who did that. Suddenly, he thought his face had an exciled expression.
RONALD: I got it! Remember the story that mom used to read to us, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
KENNY: (wondering what was in Ronald�s mind) Yes, so what?
RONALD: Snow White cleans up the house and went to sleep in one of the Seven Dwarfs� bed. Well this is what the intruder did. Why I don�t know (pointing to the stairs that leads to their rooms.) but I am sure we will soon find out.
Ronald lit a candle he then looked up the stairs, and swallowed hard.
RONALD: (gulp)
Slowly he climbed the stairs, his heart was beating fast. Kenny looked nervously behind him and then decided to follow his big brother.
Ronald opened a bedroom door and lit it with the candle. The room was empty. He then closed the door, hushing his brother to be very quite and not make any noises. Ronald and Kenny went to their parents� room and slowly open the door. Then Ronald swang the door open. Both boys looked inside the room and went inside finally. They heard a yawn under the bed blanket.
SAMURAI JACK: (yawning under the covers)
THE SCARY BOYS: (screaming out loud)
Quickly they ran down stairs. The screaming woke the Samurai. Pulling the covers, he got up from the bed and went to find out who was screaming.
They both tried to get out, quickly outside. In the darkness Kenny was outside holding the door and Ronald was trying to open the door. Spotting a stick, Kenny picked it up and let go of door and hit his brother by mistake.
KENNY: OH NO!
Surprised to see he had hit his brother by mistake. Ronald was mad got up the floor and hit his little brother on the head with his fist.
KENNY: (in pain as he rubbed his head with both hands.) Ow! Why did you do that, for?
RONALD: Because you hit me you idiot!
Suddenly Kenny saw the figure of Jack behind his brother.
KENNY: (shaking as he pointed behind Ronald) R-R-R-Ronald!
Ronald slowly turned around and saw Jack behind him. He was shocked.
SAMURAI JACK: (serious way) Hello.
Ronald and Kenny got startle by Jack and gave a loud scream.
THE SCARY BOYS: AAAHH!
As they were about to run away, Jack reached from behind them and grabbed them by their shirts. They were still screaming in panics.
SAMURAI JACK: (holding them by the shirts collars.) All right you boys. I want to know what are you two are doing in this abandon old cottage?
RONALD: (shaking with fear) Well�. That would be our home Mr. Spook.
KENNY: (tremble) But if you want to move in here, we�ll just move out and sleep outside for eternity.
SAMURAI JACK: Do not be afraid I mean you know harm, and I am not a spook, but a samurai warrior and I thought this place was abandoned. Secondly, I am not taking over your place, I would be very grateful if you would aloud me to spend the night here.
RONALD: (glad to see it was a misunderstanding and that they were safe with Jack.) Oh! That is different sir; yes you can sleep here for to night.
KENNY: (stared at Jack�s face) Are you sure you are not a ghost? You certainly look like one sir.
SAMURAI JACK: Yes I am sure. This is my kimono, all samurais wear them Kenny. Please don�t be afraid, I am not going to harm you. I know your names because I�m assuming the names on the beds belong to you and your brother. (little smile) Well are you boys hungry from your travels?
Kenny and Ronald looked at each other and then nobbed "yes" to Jack.
Jack prepared a wonderful Japanese Meals for the boys. They all sat down at the table. On table were Japanese Dumplings, Noodle Soup, Sis Kebabs and various kinds of Sushi rolls. Using his chopstick, Jack started eating some the Sushi first. Looking around the table he saw Kenny and Ronald gulping hungry and quickly everything in site. Seeing this struck Jack as funny and started to laugh.
SAMURAI JACK: (laughing)
Jack�s laughter startled the boys.
THE SCARY BOYS: (continue eating fast) What�s so funny?
SAMURAI JACK: (little laughs) Well-- excuse me, I didn�t realize you boys are so hungry. You know is better if you eat slowly and chew your food into pieces or you could chuck to death. Have your parents tell you not to eat like that?
The boys took out their hats and gave Jack a very expression.
SAMURAI JACK: (wondering why the boys were so sad.) What is the matter?
RONALD: Well, our parents are dead. We miss them terribly. This place is so sad without them.
SAMURAI JACK: I understand what you are going through. I too miss my family. But how did it happen?
KENNY: Five weeks ago, they had a car accident, is so painful to talk about it.
RONALD: Now we are a cowardly orphan family of two.
SAMURAI JACK: (looking directly at the boys) Cowardly, no I don�t think you boys are cowards, is no shame to be afraid of something.
RONALD: (looking straight at Jack) But was have being afraid about a lot of thing in our life.
KENNY: (agreeing with his brother) Even when we were little kids. Even my friend from school calls me and Ronald "The Scary Boys."
RONALD: Including our co-workers at work.
SAMURAI JACK: (little puzzled) You two go to work after school?
RONALD: Well someone have to take care of us. I�m 17 and have the responsibilities, plus my little annoying brother. But he helps out so I cannot complaint.
KENNY: (yelling and a little frustrated at his brother for saying that about him.) Little annoying brother?! Well, see here buster. I am also a teenager. I am 13 years old!
RONALD: (got up from his chair and pointing his finger at his brother�s nose.) Now, excuse me you always be my little pip-squeak, annoying little brother.
KENNY: (pushing his brother�s hand to the side) How many times I have to tell you! Don�t call my pip-squeak!
RONALD: (pined down Kenny on the floor) Oh really, well I don�t care you are my little baby brother.
Kenny kicked Ronald face trying to push him away. Ronald grabbed his face in pain. Kenny got away from him and ran to the other side of the table. Slowly, Ronald got up from the floor. He grabbed a plate full of dumplings and threw it at Kenny hitting in the head. Mad, Kenny grabbed the plate full of sushi and aimed it at his brother hitting on his chest. Now Ronald was very furious. They both got into a food fight. Finally, Jack could stand it anymore. His face became very red.
SAMURAI JACK: (screamed) ENOUGH!
Jack slammed his fists against the table. Startled and scared both brothers stop and stared at Jack holding each other.
SAMURAI JACK: Enough is enough I will not tolerate this any longer.
Quickly, Kenny and Ronald sat down paying close attention to Jack.
SAMURAI JACK: It doesn�t matter how old you are, what matter is that you two are a family and must help each other. As I was saying before, you two cannot be afraid forever. You must have some courage. No matter what you see you have to have it. (stared at both of the boys) You must face and conguer your fears or else you will be scare of your own shadows.
THE SCARY BOYS: Well ok, we try, but it won�t be easy at first.
Meanwhile, in the scary woods, all the animals were running away: because, there was a fleet of Skeleton Warriors heading their way. The Skeleton Warriors were dressed in leather-clad uniforms and carried all types of weapons. A few of the lit the way with a torch. Suddenly, they heard a music sound and a male voice singing, and they stop and look around where the music is coming from.
MALE SINGER: (in long distance) One night I went to the cemetery
They followed the sound and spotted the cottage.
MALE SINGER: (inside the cottage)
Zombies come out of their grave
And I was so afraid
Inside the cottage, the radio was blurring loud music.
MALE SINGER: (in the radio)
And went my way
Ronald and Kenny were by the radio dancing by swinging their arms in both directions.
CHORUS: (in the radio) Monsters, demons, goblins and jack-o-lanterns
They approached Jack, as they were dancing.
CHORUS:
I�m surely scare
Jack looked around and figure it would be fun to joint in the fun.
MALE SINGER:
I�m on my way
CHORUS: Have some faith
They were dancing they were having visions.
MALE SINGER: On the fourth night I went to a Halloween party
There were two circles one with Jack and the other with Ronald and Kenny dancing wildly.
MALE SINGER: The one who was throwing it was my good friend Marty
The circle went all the way up like an elevator.
MALE SINGER:
That�s what I fear the most
Three-display ghost were flying about then they stop and started dancing.
MALE SINGER:
And went my way
Two ghosts melt into the middle one making it into a big ghost and then disappear.
CHORUS: Monsters, demons, goblins and jack-o-lanterns
Jack came down slowly then Ronald and Kenny follow.
CHORUS:
I�m surely scare
There were other dancers in the shape of jack-o-lanterns, were wolf, vampires and aliens.
MALE SINGER:
I�m on my way
CHORUS: Have some faith
Outside, the Skeleton fleet surveys the cottage.
GHOST: (in the cottage) Boooo!
MALE SINGER: (in the cottage) Oh my!
They were wondering if the Samurai was inside.
MALE SINGER: (in the cottage) Those ghosts gives me the willies.
Finally they all agree to check it out.
FEMALE SINGERS: AAAAHHHH!
Meanwhile inside cottage the boys were still lost in their thoughts.
FEMALE SINGERS: AAAAAHHHHH!
As the dancers got near them in their dance, the Were Wolf touched Kenny and Kenny panic.
FEMALE SINGERS: AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
He then grabbed his brother�s hand.
MALE SINGER: Ha ha ha ha ha.
The circles went up again.
CHORUS: Monsters, demons, goblins and jack-o-lanterns
And then change places and spiral around each other creating the green and orange colors.
CHORUS:
MALE SINGER: But be brave
Jack and Ronald were circling.
MALE SINGER: I�m on my way
Kenny pulled Ronald�s arm while his other hand was grabbing Jack�s hand and he pulled them towards him.
CHORUS: Have some faith
They continue dancing and suddenly stop and took a bow, their visions melted away. They were back to reality.
Suddenly, they saw the door break and a Skeleton rushed inside. Kenny was so scare he jumped on Ronald�s arms.
KENNY: (screamed) Yaach!
He held his brother in fear.
RONALD: (shaking his body) Hello Mr. Spooky Skeleton, what do you want from us?
KENNY: (still shaking on his brother�s arms) If it�s money you want, come back tomorrow because is payday.
SKELETON WARRIOR: We don�t want your money. We didn�t come to robbed children; we are here for the Samurai who is call "Jack."
SAMURAI JACK: Me? (crossing his arms) And what do you want with me? SKELETON WARRIOR: We have being searching for you Samurai. We are here to eliminate you as per Aku�s orders.
SAMURAI JACK: Oh, you think that�s going to be easy.
Jack walked to get sword. He placed the sword in his sash.
SAMURAI JACK: You want me? (took out the sword and prepared for battle.) Come and get me!
SKELETON WARRIOR: Wait! Are you forgetting something Samurai!
SAMURAI JACK: What?
SKELETON WARRIOR: There children here and I have a whole army.
SAMURAI JACK: (looking at the boys and turn to the Skeleton Warrior) Let�s take the battle outside.
Jack walked outside; the Skeleton Warriors follow him outside. Ronald put down Kenny and they rush to the door.
Outside Jack was surround by the Skeleton Warriors. A Skeleton Warrior behind Jack. Slowly unshield his sword to attack Jack.
Quickly Jack turned his angry face and stare at the Skeleton with defiant. The Skeleton Warrior leaped through the air to attack Jack.
Jack used his sword to slice through him.
The surrounding Skeletons went to attack Jack, and he made a sharp turn around slicing through them one be one with his mighty sword. One Skeleton threw a spear at him. Jack sidetrack the spear avoiding being stroke by it. Jack turned around to face a Skeleton attacking him with a sword and a shield. Quick Jack block each blow from his sword and stroke his shield several times. The Skeleton knock Jack�s sword; when Jack leap to catch it in the air, the Skeleton cut Jack�s ponytail. Jack�s hair came down the rest of his hair was on the floor. Jack was furious; he picked up his sword and sliced the Skeleton Warrior.
Jack ran to have more space to fight; the Skeletons follow him with their weapons. Jack reached a tree and suddenly he had a plan. He quickly climbed up the tree as the Skeleton Warriors went after him. Jack reached the top of the large tree and waited for the all the Skeletons to climb the tree; he jump put of the tree and landed on the floor and quickly cut the tree with his sword. The tree was cut and it was falling. As the tree fell so did the Skeleton Warriors, they broke into many pieces.
The rest of the Skeletons want after Jack. Jack gave a scream and ran towards the Skeletons with his sword in hands ready to slice through them.
Far away, inside the cottage, Ronald and Kenny watched in horror as Jack kept fighting the Skeletons. They though of what Jack said to them about-facing their fears with courage.
JACK�S VOICE: (in Ronald and Kenny�s thoughts) You two cannot be afraid forever. You must have some courage. No matter what you see you have to have it. You must face and conguer your fear of else you will be scare of your own shadow.
Finally their fears melted away into the night. They knew they have to help Jack. They rushed back inside the house to look for a baseball bat and boxing gloves.
Meanwhile, Jack continues fighting the Skeleton Minions. The Skeletons and Jack stop momentanly when they heard the voice of a boy coming from the roof.
RONALD: Not so fast Skeletons, we are coming to get you all.
They both jump from the roof and felt on the bushes next to Jack. Ronald and Kenny got up from the bushes they took Jack�s sides.
SAMURAI JACK: Ronald and Kenny what are you doing?
RONALD: (looking at Jack) We�re here to help you.
KENNY: (holding his baseball bat) We couldn�t let you fight the Skeletons alone and we are facing our fears.
Jack, Ronald and Kenny went after the Minions.
Ronald punched the Minions knocking them down. As two Skeletons surround, Ronald put his arms together and quick spand them and knocked them down with his fists.
Kenny ran through the Skeletons hitting them with his baseball bat. Raising the spike ball; a Skeleton Warrior was about to strike Kenny, but he used his bat as a battering ram, and knocking him down to pieces.
One of the Skeletons was trying to spear Jack. But Jack quickly avoided the spear. Suddenly, Jack stroke the spear with his sword, breaking it in half. He quickly kick the Skeleton Warrior with his right foot sending him for away and breaking it to pieces.
All three destroyed the Skeleton Warriors. Nothing was left but their bones and weapons on the ground they were breathing hearely, their weapons still in their hands.
RONALD: I can�t believe we were not afraid.
KENNY: (looking around the place) Yes, we are victorious, Ronald.
SAMURAI JACK: I am glad you boys overcame your fears. (putting his sword away) You two fought well. Now we should head back to the cottage for a goodnight sleep. Tomorrow is a busy day, you two have to go to school and work and finally clean up this place from all those bones and weapons. And I will go on my way. I am afraid I won�t be back. But I will miss you two.
RONALD: (teary eyes) We will miss you too--- Jack.
KENNY: You remind us of our dad.
SAMURAI JACK: (fixing his ponytail) Let�s go inside. (heading to the cottage)
RONALD: (to Kenny) You know what Kenny, since we are not so scare anymore. We should have code names. I was thinking about "The Fearless Boys."
KENNY: (walking towards the cottage with Ronald) No, how about "The Courageous Boys."
RONALD: No fearless!
KENNY: Courageous!
RONALD: Fearless!!
KENNY: Courageous!!
RONALD: Fearless!!!
KENNY: Courageous!!!
SAMURAI JACK: (raised his eyebrows) Are you two arguing again?
The boys got a little scare and started to shake.
