They had only 1 child, a Daughter who is still living and has requested that no details are disclosed at present.

'Bertie' was a farmer all his life on small holdings. He went over to Australia to visit his brother and died whilst there. He was Cremated over there but had a Memorial Service at Brompton Regis Church.

He was involved, for 40 years with the West Country Sheep Dog Society, both as a member and as Vice President. He won many trials and Championships in his many years on the circuit. In 1960, along with other members of the Society , founded the Brompton Regis (Somerset) Trials. I believe that it is still being run in his Memorial to this day.
