Hawaian Locomoco-style Rice Bowl

A stylish lunch that makes you feel like you've been to Hawaii. The key is to put a half-boiled egg on top and mix it in.

Mirin (sweet cooking rice wine)

Soy Souce

Ginger juice

How to cook

  1. In a bowl, combine the "Tane" ingredients and mix thoroughly until sticky.
  2. Toss 1/2 amount of "Tane" mixture quickly from right hand to left hand and from left hand to right hand as if playing catch with both hands to release air and form two round balls.
  3. Place the hamburger patties in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Lower the heat slightly and steam the hamburger for 7 to 8 minutes to cook the inside of the hamburger.
  4. In a small saucepan, mix the "tare" ingredients well and bring to a boil over medium heat. Simmer while stirring, and remove from heat when thickened.
  5. Place rice in a bowl, top with (3) and sprouts, and pour the sauce from (4) over the rice. Crack an hot spring egg over the rice and garnish with lemon wedges.
