Content - There are quite a few competitors such as liveaquaria, though the website is easy to navigate i also do like how they have their discounted prices on the front page, but the website looks outdated and is a bit clunky. Another competitor would be yourfishstore, I do like how the logo and color scheme really match the theme of the website it also has quite a bit of selections of and options to choose from. Another thing that popped out to me was that they had gif images of fish which was appealing to the eyes while grabbing your attention. One thing they could've done better is declutter they're website a bit when you pull it up it can be a bit overwhelming with all the options and things to pick from they could organize or update some things to help with that. The last competitor i chose to pick was wetspottropicalfish this website was the most modern one i've come across while going through differenect compeitors. its an elegant website while keeping this organized and easy to find, its very user friendly i also do like how they did a roatating testomonial box at the bottom to vouche their products. One thing about this website is that since it does look newer they do have fewer options of things (fish, decor, etc.)

Purpose - I think first impressions of a website play a huge role in whether someone is going to buy from that website or a different one. If you can make a website appealing and easy to navigate it makes people feel more comfortable with buying things from you wesbite instead of scaring them away. The reason a site like this should be built is because there are retailers and other competitors everyone has different kinds of fish and different items that other stores do not and by being able to diversify with different unique items itll bring people to your website or other places looking for a certain thing.
Desired Results - I would like users to purchase items that they want or like or even just learn something new about fish with an informational section/forum for people. The goal of the site is to educate whilst still selling products to stay afloat.
Target Audience - The nice thing about fish is it can appealing to all kinds of people ranging from old to young. Having a fish tank can be therapeutic in many ways, making it easily enjoyable to many. My target audience would range from shoppers wanting to get things for their fish tank to people just wanted to learn more about upkeep, fish, and/or ideas of things to do with their tanks.
